I purchased the insignia remote since I have the same brand tv. I didn't even have to program it. Started working immediately once I placed batteries in it.

It does take AA batteries instead of the normal AAA in most other remotes. The only complaint right now is the four color buttons, the product manual doesn't tell you how to set them or how you're suppose to use them. So if someone know's, please let me know!

Even though it has a "Stream" button, the 'Common Device', method doesnt give any info for any streaming boxes. Remote codes supplied in manual for Roku dont work. The player has no "power on/off' feature so the Code Search doesnt work either. Makes it pretty useless and still need to use 2 remotes, which defeated the purpose of buying this.

Doesn't work with Roku Streaming Stick
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This remote will not control a Roku Streaming Stick. These are not able to use IR signals. Setup on the Vizio tv worked great but we had to return it since we want it to also control the Roku stick.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this over the weekend to consolidate multiple remotes (blue ray, sound bar), and to have a numerical remote since I just got a 4K FireTV and still use antenna tv sometimes (smart TV remote didn’t have numbers or capability to change/input channel #s). I tried pairing it mult times with my Samsung BR AND my INSIGNIA sound bar—neither of which would pair. I tried mannually entering codes, preset brand codes, and auto-pair—nothing worked. I bought it on clearance for $17.99 three days ago. I see it’s now $10. If they all work like the one I got, they’re worthless. I returned mine for a refund.

Tried all the different methods of programming, and even using the specific codes listed in the guide, it would not program. I had to use the auto programming to get it to pair with my TV and receiver, but neither worked properly. Even on clearance at $9.99, its still not worth keeping. What a piece of junk.

Poor instructions, can't connect Roku stick

However, the worst of it is that I am totally unable to pair this remote with my Roku stick. I tried each method. Very disappointed.

Posted .Hello there, while we greatly appreciate the provided feedback, I would like to let you know this remote control is mainly designed to be compatible with a variety of Samsung TV's however it will not be compatible to a Roku TV. I would strongly recommend taking advantage of the Best Buy 15 days policy for exchanges and returns, this way you will be able to return it and obtain a compatible one. - John Insignia Customer Care.
