So off to Best Buy and I found what I needed, even though their was two in a package. Now I have an extra one but no problem. It does work well on the new Sony television. Yes I do endorse it.

It was easy to install. It fulfills its responsibilities. It is not clear to me why such a cable was not included with the monitor, nor why the carton didn't warn me so the installation of the monitor was delayed.

The good: The build quality is excellent - there's no denying that. Plugging into my devices (TV and cable set top box) were easy and secure. You know you're making a good connection that won't flake out on you like some other discount cables. The bad: I am able to get the same quality online for 1/3 the price. In fact, I was able to get a 3 foot and a 15 foot 4K 22Gbps HDMI cable (2 cables) for the same price as one Insignia HDMI cable. Because only Best Buy sells the Insignia brand, there's no price matching. Bottom line: These are good cables and if you need one in a pinch, you can go into any Best Buy and be certain you're getting a quality product. However, if you can wait for shipping, there are equally good cables that will cost you 50-70% less
