I used a switch halfway between so that I could use "ordinary-length" cables. Then a power cut fried "something." After trial and error, I found out that the switch was the fried element. So I decided it would be simpler to use a longer cable for the furthest PC. And here we are. I almost bought the next length up. Another point is that at the face of the router there isn't a ton of space for each cable. This cable fit. Maybe someday they will change the manufacture of the cable without changing the SKU, so if you're putting this cable in a tight place, be prepared that this cable, or any other on the market, might have a fat "head" and not fit between your other cables.
