You can turn on the infra red sensor and aim it at another remote and it learns the buttons one at a time. Kind of a niche situation but this is exactly what I wanted.

Waste of my time

Tried the simple set up with my Sony Bravia and it turned off as expected but would not turn on again. Called the helpless desk and was told to return it, What a waste of my time.

Too complicated and fails to work

You have to then use the learn every button on old remotes. That is too much effort to be worth fighting.

But it does replace the remote lost for my monitor. (Yey! I can change the volume again!) I have a LG audio setup that the remote will not work on, that is also part of my computer.
