i've been able to connect with my family even though my phone is broken through apps, so it's wonderful

If u looking for a real affordable tablet for kids this is the one I really recommended this.

This tablet is not to get because it takes to long to power up and I don't know when it is on or off

good for small game and kids. Bought for my nice and she loves it.

I am a prior owner of a Verizon Ellipsis 7 which was lost or stolen. I needed a replacement tablet so I thought I would give the Insignia a try. The unit comes well packed with minimal accessories - usb cable and ac usb power adapter. BestBuy has to activate the Sim when you pick up in the store, It the associate almost 45 minutes to activate me. The physical design of the unit is very unpleasant - it feels like a brick. The bezel is large around the screen making the unit much bigger than it needs to be. Its heavy even compared to the Ellipsis which is a low end unit also. The Sim card is inserted into the tablet with no cover to hide the sim - my sim actually sticks out of the unit. It does not affect the operation of the unit but it looks cheap. Functionally the tablet works fine. The screen is nice visually and responsive to touch. Plenty of speed to run games. If you don't mind the ergonomic and aesthetic issues the tablet works fine functionally. The 4G LTE is nice and works well. I have not benchmarked the battery yet. If you can afford an LG 8.3 or can wait for a sale on the Ellipsis you may be better served by another tablet.

Performance is so poor. Switching between apps takes forever. Battery life is mediocre at best. Comes with plenty of junk apps that one can't remove. I wish I had not agreed to take this when buying my last phone as now I'm stuck with it until the plan is up.

I was impressed good for the money. I use it at work to run the diagnostic program that is web based and it works fine. Also it I find it easier to access my e mail on the go instead of using my Droid Turbo. It may not be the best, but for what it is it works just fine.

I was coaxed into taking this tablet when I upgraded my Iphone. Cost was just $1.00 they said, will only add $10 per month to my bill they said. Figured I'd use it for processing e-commerce payments since I already have an iPad mIni 3 that I love. Brought it home, charged it, dead in the water. 10 minutes later it turns itself on but can't log in, then shuts itself off again. Turns back on, shows 100% charged but won't let me do anything with it. I didn't want it to start with, now I'm going to contact Verizon to try to get rid of the line - it was a 2 year contract but this isn't worth my time or aggravation.
