Q: what are the stipulations with a 2 year contract for the $1 insignia 8" flex tablet?
A: I don't know about stipulations - but the basic premise is you agree to a two year contract and they sell you the unit for a $1.00. If you cancel before the two years is up you have to pay a cancellation fee. For my contract I am paying $60.00 per month for 3 Gigs of data and $10.00 per month for the tablet on a family plan.
Q: why does it say storage running low when I have put in a 32gb sd card And I have plenty left?
A: It's a bug in Android Kitkat. It lets you see the card, but there's no way to transfer or save anything to it. Don't know if Lollipop fixes it or not because Insignia and / or Verizon won't release an update for the tablet. Not happy.
Q: Does this tablet have an official upgrade to Lollipop or is it stuck on Kit Kat?
A: stuck on kitkat for now. and worse, this version of kitkat will not allow use of SD card even though it has a slot for one.
Q: Does this require a contract with Verizon or is the service included in the price?
A: No contract was required when I bought it. I picked it up, brought it home, and slapped a T-Mobile sim in it.
Q: What cable(s) do I need to connect this tablet to a TV?
A: To connect this tablet to a TV you will need to use an MHL adapter or a casting device, such as Google Cast. I would recommend speaking to your local Best Buy to see what option is best for you.
Q: Is it fully compatible with the Square software/hardware?
A: Yes, this will work with the square software/hardware.
Q: How much money should i have in my wallet when i buy this product?
A: I ONLY PAID $1.00 BUT THE ACTIVATION FEE AND PRORATION IS WHATS EXPENSIVE. COSTED ME OVER $50.00
