It's a bug in Android Kitkat. It lets you see the card, but there's no way to transfer or save anything to it. Don't know if Lollipop fixes it or not because Insignia and / or Verizon won't release an update for the tablet. Not happy.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The internal storage is running low still not the external card you put in, they operate separately. The device will continue to put apps on the internal memory because it can't put them in the SD card. The only things you can store on the card are personal files like pdf's, mp3, mpeg, etc. and you can choose to store pictures and videos you take to the sd card as well. Newer versions (and some older versions) of android will let you save and move apps to the SD card but not the version that this tablet runs on. You can try to move pictures and videos to the card to free up space but once it's full of apps is full.
