A:AnswerI don't know about stipulations - but the basic premise is you agree to a two year contract and they sell you the unit for a $1.00. If you cancel before the two years is up you have to pay a cancellation fee.
For my contract I am paying $60.00 per month for 3 Gigs of data and $10.00 per month for the tablet on a family plan.
A:AnswerIt's a bug in Android Kitkat. It lets you see the card, but there's no way to transfer or save anything to it. Don't know if Lollipop fixes it or not because Insignia and / or Verizon won't release an update for the tablet. Not happy.
