A: Trust the reviews. The "promo considerations or sweepstakes entry" email says "please review your purchase for a chance to win a $400 Best Buy gift card." It is just an entry into a lottery of all people who write reviews - probably 1,000s each week and probably less chance of winning than PowerBall Lottery. Since I rely on reading other previous purchaser reviews to make a decision on a potential purchase, I am glad to give my review for others.
A: As someone who bought it, the price is so misleading (permanent 'sale') and the navigation is trash, don't buy this hunk of junk
Q: Does this vacuum require bags?
A: Yes. The bag goes in the canister. I manually empty my Dustin because I want to see what it picks up. I then vacuum what’s left. Hope it’s awhile before I have to buy bags.
A: i have a golden retriever & a daschund…lots of tumbleweed hair everywhere. the dustin cleans it up extremely well & empties at the end of each cleaning. the empty sound was jarring at first because the bobi is so quiet. but really not an issue.
Q: Does this vacuum require WiFi to work? Or can I start it manually to vacuum?
A: If it’s not connected to the WiFi it will not find the dustbin station in order to charge and dump the dust. But yes you can use it without the app by pushing the Go button on the vacuum itself. You cannot use the app to map the floors and operate it remotely, because it will require a WiFi connection.
Q: Is there a cleaning solution that can be added to mop reservoir ?
A: It doesn’t come with cleaning solution but I add fabuloso and that works fine.
A: It has an attachment you place on it, it does self empty but you can also empty yourself, that is where the water reservoir is. Just dampen the mop first, then it gradually releases the water.
Q: will this run and set up on a 5G network? I am seeing conflicting answers
A: Everything about the BobSweep app would indicate that it does NOT support 5Mhz network functionality.

Your Reliable Partner in Household Cleaning
The bObsweep Dustin Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and Mop has been a fantastic addition to our home cleaning routine. Performance: This robot vacuum does an excellent job of mapping the house and cleaning efficiently while we're busy working, playing, or just relaxing. It covers about 75% of our 1800 square foot house on a full charge, which is impressive. Self-Emptying Feature: The self-emptying feature is a game-changer. It significantly reduces the need for frequent maintenance, making it a convenient and time-saving option. Smart Cleaning: One of the coolest features is the ability to choose specific areas for it to clean. This targeted cleaning option is incredibly useful for focusing on high-traffic areas or specific rooms. Battery Life: The battery life is solid, allowing it to clean a substantial portion of our home before needing a recharge. Mopping Function: Although we haven't tried the mopping feature yet, we're excited to test it out in the future. It's great to have the option available for when we need it. Loving our new family member, Dustin
I am really happy with Dustin. I bought a 2nd one for a gift. 1st day of using it we already noticed the big difference. We have 3 big dogs and it was hard to maintain the floor until I got this robot vacuum. I haven't used the mop feature yet but it looks like it will just wipe wet areas. I really only need the vacuum part so I'm ok without the mop. The parts are easy to clean which I really appreciate. You just take them out, clean then re-insert. Even the front wheel was easy to remove when I had to take it out once to remove some hair strands. No need to unscrew anything for maintenance. The self emptying struggled the 1st 2 days because I think I overused it by letting it clean the entire house for mapping. I had to help pull out debris. Also because initially the house wasn't that maintained so it collected so much pet and human hair and debris. But when I used the scheduling, i just let it clean 2 to 3 rooms then go dock again to empty itself to avoid overfilling the dust bin. It's very smart especially when it already mapped the house, the cleaning time becomes way faster. The app is simple and easy to use. It has all the features I need. I even watch the app map sometimes to see where Dustin is cleaning just coz. All in all, I am very much satisfied and i am just hoping that it will last. It's only been 2 weeks for me so far. :)

Bobbitt (bObsweep - Dustin)
We are newly minted Bobparents as he is our first grand robot! He’s a combo, self-emptying bot. Set up was extremely easy! The directions were in LARGE print, simple, accurate grammar and syntax and a breeze! The accompanying pictures were labelled and easy to follow. The quick guide made the initial set up very simple. Bobbitt aka bObsweep - Dustin) has an app for mapping which is easy to use and easy to edit. You can create zones/areas for him to clean specifically extra times. If Bobbitt is stuck, confused or not working correctly (which hasn’t happened yet) it tells you what the error is and basically how to fix it. Quite simple. The app connected to my WiFi quickly and has stayed connected. We were away for several days during Bobbitt's initial week, and I was able to monitor his cleaning from a state away! He worked while we didn't! You are able to change his settings through the app even while he is cleaning. I had been researching brands and was planning on sticking with a US brand for ease of instructions, customer service, returns, etc but found bObsweep out of Canada and knowing Canadian quality, integrity and reliability, thought I couldn’t go wrong. So far, so good. On Bobbitt’s maiden mapping voyage, he got stuck twice (trying to get under the couch- wasn’t his fault - it’s a dark area rug surrounded by 2 “of hardwood and then the low couch bottom) but figured it out and hasn’t gotten stuck since. He navigates multiple corners, terrain of hardwood, tile and area rug. It’s really pretty fascinating and fun to watch him think through his next moves. Bobbitt is fairly quiet, especially on the lower suction settings but even on high, the decibels are not loud. He’s unobtrusive and just zips around. His suction is great. I have never had such clean corners! I haven’t used the mop feature yet nor replaced the bag but am confident both will be pretty simple and effective. I will be in the market for Bobbitt’s mate Loretta for my upstairs and likely will stay in the bObsweep family. Couldn’t be more satisfied. Shelley
