However, no matter whether you put it higher, closer to the window, or even outside, reception is often bad if at all existent. Would not recommend it.

The mounting was in the exact place as the original.

I live in an apartment, good windows. This antenna does not pickup as many channels as my last antenna that was setup outside. I have to keep moving it around to capture the TV stations.

This works but not great - however I realize it depends on the area. SO how do you know if it is working well or not? Who knows but I was not able to get local news..... ugh
