No driver or software for Windows 7

There is no driver or software for Windows 7. Instructions refer to a Broadcom website where drivers for various Windows versions were offered, except Windows 7. Contacted Best Buy tech support and the rep. confirmed the lack of a driver and had no other information and were of no help. Tried to contact Broadcom; however, could not speak with anyone. Went to the store to speak with a Geek Squad rep., but they would not talk to me for at least 20 minutes (apparently other customers and appointments). I do not give up easily and spent many hours trying to find drivers and get the adapter working, but with no success. Product was misrepresented.

I know this could result unexpected but our adapter cannot retrieve it's own drivers via Windows 7 due to the unavailability of the Windows Update system on Windows 7. This service was discontinued a long time ago on this platform.
