Then I asked Geek Squad again for help in installing adapter. Found it was not compatible for my computer. So I had to return it. Age of my HP Tower why it didn't work for me.

You have to be within 10 feet without obstruction to maintain a solid connection. They don't handle interference very well either. they should consider a redesign with a better antenna.

I didn't want the hassle of sending it back, so I tried this and it worked. I found it open box so I now had everything I needed and it cost under 15 dollars.

It does not, however, work well for audio devices. Even 3 feet away the sound it choppy. Using it for a headset was less than optimal and I will be finding an alternative.

Due to file corruption I was forced to upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 in mid-summer of 2018. Doing both the Win 10 upgrade and the Bluetooth for remote speakers made my old PC feel and act new again!
