It's not for sale anymore except for open box, so this is sort of pointless. It does work and I am using a BT keyboard to type this, but it isn't plug and play, and the Insignia site is no help. Should you have the misfortune of buying this, google the part number NS-PCY5BMA2 and follow the breadcrumbs from a MS support forum, to reddit, and finally to a blog post at Harvard.

Reading reviews it seems to be hit or miss if it works. Reality is, it probably isn't in the unit itself, but Windows 10 seeing fragments of other installs. I attempted several installs, USB with Broadcom drivers, and a PCIe card same brand as motherboard and Intel drivers. The reason I returned it was the lack of support. I had another USB unit purchased elsewhere and actually had a live persons corresponding with me via email to resolve the issue. I first ran a program they sent, created a zip file and returned to them where they could see the operations. They noted the other install attempts, including the Intel driver attempt and sent me instructions on how to clean up, removing the fragments, then reinstalling. It worked.

It works, but giving two starts since the driver DOESN'T automatically install as advertised and the page on the official website doesn't offer a download, you have to download it from third-party questionable sources.

This product converts our older computer to allow my son to use his headphones. Great buy.

Never thought I needed bluetooth on the laptop and finally bout this when the price was right. Use it a couple of times a week now and wonder how I got along without it. Good product at a good price.

I bought this dongle to conect an older laptop to a bluetooth speaker. It works well at doing that. No software for the dongle in the package you have to download it. Which was a little dificult for me due to the fact i do not have internet at my house. But it dose what it is supose to.

I bought this in hopes of hooking up an xbox controller however it disconnects every few minutes leaving my character stranded in the middle of a game unable to defend. However it does add a bluetooth device to my computer that allows me to easily connect to other bluetooth devices.

Really no complaints, is exactly what is it advertised to be, a simple plug-and-play bluetooth addition for any computer. Have been using it for quite some time now and have had no issues on connectivity or range.

I just read reviews because it was ticking me off, I wish i had read them first before I bought it *twice* ('cus I temporarily lost the first one) Now its my turn; Where you read in other reviews about how the blue tooth tends to just disconnect and not want to reconnect; Its true, I can promise u it will happen to u if you buy this. At least twice a day when used for more then a few hours it will simply stop, (the blue light stops flashing). Sometimes it makes it impossible to go thru the steps to remedy the issue by not letting you removing the hardware that's listed as being connected. I think I learned my lesson, I hope

We were able to make my outdoor wireless speakers work with my laptop. So we were able to have an awesome experience with my five neighbors to watch a movie projected on my 100 ' screen. "Driveway Movie Night"

Was alittle disappointed. Said it worked on Windows 7 and come to find out it doesn’t. Once I upgraded my computer to Windows 10 it works great. I am not a big fan of Windows 10 so I didn’t want to upgrade but I did and the now everything works. Still not a fan of Windows 10

Took a lot of work to set up. There is an issue with the 10/2020 windows update that causes the driver to not work properly, windows update corrected the issue and the drivers were then finally under optional updates. Contacted support before finding this information, rep disconnected on me. Poor show. Did not find this information on anything for this work around while searching for results with insignia products. Found results when looking through support for another brand.

I bought this open box, and I don't understand why someone would return this. Great price, and I've had no problem connecting multiple devices at the same time using it.

Plug And Play usage (On WIndows 10 and Linux). Connects to all my headsets, XBOX One Controller, and 8Bitdo SN30 Pro controllers. Allowed me to pair my Nexus 6, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy S7 Active, and OnePlus 6T to my laptop. Highly recommend.
