This was used to send music to a MEE BT receiver connected to a stereo receiver that was used very little. Just replaced this with an Asus BT adapter that was plug and play.

High capactiy in small space

This gives a wonderful storage option were space is an issue either for keeping the drive stored, in a pocket, or plugged in without being invasive. Works great for storing songs in Nissan Leaf.

I purchased it to connect to my wireless headphones and it was a no go. I called insignia customer service and found out I needed a 4.1 for my headphones. I was not happy about that.

It works great and uses one USB port on your PC

There's noticeable bursts of lag when using it wirelessly versus wired. For general use - file transfers, although slow, work as defined. Music playback wasn't an issue. When watching videos, there was some audio lag occasionally.

You can access all your recordings via Bluetooth on your phone and save videos directly to your phone. Not to mention gps compatibility.

It does work and I am using a BT keyboard to type this, but it isn't plug and play, and the Insignia site is no help. Should you have the misfortune of buying this, google the part number NS-PCY5BMA2 and follow the breadcrumbs from a MS support forum, to reddit, and finally to a blog post at Harvard.

After installing the drivers for this USB BT device, pairing was simple, so I disabled the laptop's onboard BT and I'm now only using this. Works well.
