Decided to buy a higher end motherboard that came with Bluetooth and wifi.

Plugged right into my pc so i dont have to deal with cords for my headphones anymore. Would definitely recommend!

DO NOT BUY! No drivers from Insignia’s website, I tried some of the suggestions I saw in the other reviews but all this did was crash on my computer. Once I was able to install it it would fail almost immediately, could not get the “drivers” to uninstall from my PC, once I figured it wouldn’t work but my computer would just hang while trying to uninstall, causing my computer to crash during shut down, ended up reset my PC just to get rid of the headache... So again to anyone thinking of buying, DO NOT BUY!

I made the massive mistake of purchasing a laptop without Bluetooth support. I bought the dongle to provide this and have not been disappointed. It is low profile which comes in handy as the laptop is tucked away below the desk.

I found this item unexpectedly while shopping. Since that time, I've used it practically every day in my office, and couldn't be happier. A great product at a great price!

Didn't know my laptop had no Bluetooth! But this fixed that problem.

Below average rating because this device is not designed to "just work" with Windows 7. Maybe Win8/8.1 or Win10 are less hassle. Beware if you are using Windows 7, as this BT adapter is a pain to get working. If you do not know how to configure hardware, find/install device drivers and/or do general tinkering with your O/S get help, you will need it. Instructions are not good and you will have to search for the driver. The driver is NOT on the Insignia website. Search other BestBuy reviews and forums or Google to find to driver for Win7. It took a few hours to find the right driver and get it configured and working. I was able to connect between my Win7 computer and a phone to transfer music and pics.

Win 10 didn't automatically download the driver and allow for P-n-P set up but a quick google search led me to the solution and now it works like a charm!

There is no driver support for this item. The instructions that comes with the product say that the PC will automatically install all required drivers. This did not happen. Tried troubleshooting, windows could not find any drivers for this product and insignia offers no manual download options for driver support. Emailed their support to try and give them a chance to assist. No response after 3 business days. Worthless.

I did not know they made this until Mom had to have it for her computer. because it did not have sound on it she brought a helix speaker but she did not have Bluetooth. Now she does.

I got this to link my wireless Beats headset to my laptop because my laptop did not have Bluetooth. Works great!

I have no complaints. connects my headphone to my computer.

tested it on my old HP Notebook and it worked once I got it installed in one of few usb ports by itself instead of with an Insten 7port usb hub.

The computer recognizes the adapter, then it disappears. When it's connected, it sort of works, but it disconnects every few seconds. No drivers included, but after working through the driver mess and installers for the specific chipset, it still doesn't work. I am returning this, and I would never use another insignia product.

I have had this for two years and it still works great.

Setup with no issue. Had to disable my onboard Bluetooth. It wasn’t working like it use to, That is why I got this little dongle. I got it to replace my old Bluetooth receiver.
