Unfortunately I didn't try it until after the return period was over... I was hoping to replace an older blue tooth USB device hoping for a little more range and consistency, but the device wasn't recognized and no available drivers for download on the manufacturer website. No auto-install drivers. Using Windows 10. I'd say look at the next option based on this experience.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I first plugged the adapter into my Windows 7 laptop, it did not automatically install the drivers. From the "Devices and Printers" window, it showed up as an "Unspecified" device, BCM20702A0. From there, I was able to right-click and "Troubleshoot" the device to get a driver installed, but that did not help. With the driver installed, I was able to see several Bluetooth devices. I tried connecting with my Bluetooth mouse and my Bluetooth headphones, both of which I've used successfully with other laptops. From the laptop, both devices appeared to connect, but the headphones did not indicate that they were paired, and neither device functioned. The first one of these Bluetooth adapters I purchased was an "open box" special. (That should have been a clue.) The second was a brand new unopened unit. Both exhibited the same problem. Checking the Insignia website for support was no help. Worked right out of package with Windows 10

Found another driver that was recommended on another website and it caused my laptop to get the blue screen of death. I had to get IT to clean out the bugs. Why sell a device that has no driver for download?
