After installing the device, my laptop wouldn't recognize it and searched for (nonexistent) drivers continuously. After searching the net for days, I finally found a review describing my problem and realized there is no solution so it was best to return it. I somehow missed other reviews warning Windows 7 users to stay away before buying. Would have saved me time & frustration if I had known ahead of time it wouldn't work for me. I returned it and got the Aluratek Universal Audio Receiver & Transmitter for twice the money but it works beautifully for my needs.
