They would not work, I brought them back after she rec'd them and we realized they would not work. I was told we were a few days too late to bring them back. What good is this if they were a gift. If you check our history you will see that we spend a few thousand dollars there every year. Well NO MORE. I asked for district managers name and was told I could not have it. I sent in my feedback, and did not even receive an apology.

After doing some research and finding that getting certain drivers might help, I tried that. Nothing. I went back the next day and swapped it for an ASUS brand instead and what do you know. I plug it in and it just works!

Looked like a simple fix...NOT! Unit does not download drivers, computers identify it as a "BCM20702A0" a BroadCom product. See other reviews for downloading, time consuming and not a fix. $14 dollars and worth 14 cents. Select another product. I bought this one because it was all my local store had in stock.

Posted .Hello ChuckW, thank you for taking the time to leave a quick review of the Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter. I am sorry to read that you are having issues downloading the drivers, please feel free to try the following troubleshooting steps:
If the computer doesn't install the driver automatically, try this:
1: Go to Device Manager (this can be done by left clicking on most start buttons. including 7/8.1/10)
2: Plug in USB Bluetooth Device
3: Check Device Manager and look for your Bluetooth device, which should come up as BCM20XXXXX (BCM20702A0) (the X's will be different depending on your exact model but it is not important, what is important, is that you find the proper device. The device should pop up as soon as you plug it in and you will see display manager flicker and it will repopulate its listing. you will probably see a yellow mark on the icon telling you something is wrong, which is correct. )
4: Right Click on the BCM20702A0 in device manager and click on "update driver software"
5: Select Browse my computer for updates,
6: Select "Let me pick from a list of Device Drivers"
7: Select Bluetooth Radius
8: Select "Broadcom" on the left list of manufactures.
9: Select "BCM2033 Single" Driver on the right.
10: Click Install
11: Reboot computer

Terrible purchase

I tried all the tips and tricks listed in the reviews, and after 2 hours of trying to get the thing to work, I still couldn't use it for anything I wanted to connect to the computer. Will be returning this ASAP.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an ASUS bluetooth adapter that looks the same as the Insignia adapter and performs the same functions, but the Insignia seems to be better in a few ways when I compared them. The insignia seemed to pick up devices quicker and then run my Bluetooth operations quicker as well, operations such as syncing devices to the pc and photo transfers. It also seems to have better range.
