Instructions say go to Broadcom Support web site to down load driver for the dongle. Message on link says " WE NO LONGER SUPPORT THIS DEVICE" "For Windows users, run Windows Update for driver software." WRONG!!!! Nothing happens except windows update states "NO NEW UPDATES AVAILABLE, UPDATES ARE CURRENT. Tried Microsoft support site for help....HA!!!! wasted even more time. Taking this back to "WORST BUY" for refund.

OK, so you know how you plug in a new flash drive or something into your USB port, your laptop buzzes for a few extra seconds, and some messages appear that you never read because you already know that they say that this new thing you just plugged in is installed and ready to go. It only takes about three extra seconds and you barely process that it's happening. Yeah, well that's not how it's going to happen with this product. With this one absolutely nothing happens when you plug it in. The "Quick Setup Guide" gives you a URL to download a users manual. The users manual tells you how to find the device in Control Panel to troubleshoot it. The Windows troubleshooter tells you that Drivers are unavailable. The users manual gives you another web address to try to find the drivers, and that website sends you back to Windows. My laptop is a Windows 8. I would look for some other brand and not bother even trying this one if I were you, but then again I ignored the other reviews that said the exact same thing, too, figuring that they were just people didn't know how to deal with drivers.

I bought it to connect my AirPods with my PC, the range on it is OK I get better range with my Apple devices. It's inexpensive so whatever, it works.

Can't find the drivers for it . Windows update DOES NOT install drivers for you after multiple tries. More trouble than it's worth. Have yet to see if Best Buy will refund my money.

I have an older Windows 7 computer with no Bluetooth. Hated computer speakers sitting on my desk taking up space. With Bluetooth adapter, I now connect to speakers sitting across the room and out of the way. Cost is about $20.00. Love having that ability as I play alot of music on my Win 7.

Totally infuriating! Only created problems! Absolutely nothing works! Followed instructions & restarted after drivers installed. Will not find either of my two sets of ear buds that paired to my android just fine. Now I can not even open devices and printer! On a right click absolutely nothing works and this device has interfered with other operations like devices and printers. ALL instructions are totally useless and only created problems where none existed before. Absolutely nothing works! This maker has GOT to be kidding. I will have to try to uninstall it so I can at least get access my devices and printers. Nothing in the menu works. Hours wasted. Psst! I already have a career. Get out of may way! I have work to do. Now, after I look at the terrible * reviews I find out that the product is apparently misrepresented and so many angry others say is not compatable with Windows 7. Tinkered for two hours.. I REALLY do not have this kind of time to waste!

This is still working fine after 3 years on my Windows 7 PC.

Plugged device in and the driver wouldn't download. Went to Insignia's webpage and they don't offer driver downloads. Called support and they told me that this device "Doesn't need a driver. It's plug in play." Reached out to Geek Squad and they said I'd have to bring it in so they could look at. Unbelievable.

Bought this item to connect my Windows 7 pc to a Bose bluetooth speaker. The Bose speaker does not have/need any drivers, and this adapter requires them, so I was not able to connect the speaker to my computer at all, even after going through customer service. My phone did connect to the pc, so the adapter itself was working, which is why this is not a 1 star review, but it did not connect what I purchased it to connect to.

I was looking to take advantage of some bluetooth headsets I had so instead of making a huge purchase on a new laptop I decide to refresh my old one and update it a little with this bluetooth adapter. It works great!

apparently best buy doesn't support this product anymore, and it has no drivers. had to install janky 3rd party generic drivers that barely work, don't waste your time with this product.

Is not recognized by window 10 and no drivers available from manufacture site. You can maybe get it to work with untrusted drivers from other places, not worth the risk of getting malware on your computer.

This is worthless. The driver doesn't exist. It appears support vanished. No solutions work on insignia site, or in highlighted top reviews.

I got this device for my windows 10 pc. It has a very high rating so I thought it would be a good choice, but it was not. On the instructions, it says that the drivers for it will automatically install when plugged in, but in my case, it did not do that. I called customer service and they couldn't even figure out the problem. So i returned mine and exchanged it in store. When i got home i tried it again and it STILL didn't work. I called insignia and best buy and it still couldn't work after. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DEVICE DOES NOT WORK 100% OF THE TIME FOR EVERYONE. in my opinion this is a very bad device for the price. I had also got one of these because my old one had broke, so i thought that this updated one would work which it does not.

Even though the package says Windows 10 on it, the driver is actually for Windows 8.1. After getting the last full driver package from Broadcom and pulling it apart I could alter and force the INF file to accept the Insignia adapter bit Windows then refused to load the driver because the adapter does not pass the hash for the Windows 10 driver for this chipset. It makes me think earlier versions of Win10 probably allowed earlier drivers for transition purposes, but the newest versions must have Microsoft signed and properly hashed hardware to install drivers. The adapter is useless on any even vaguely modern Windows PC. Will be returning.

Not plug n play ready with windows, doesn't see all devices and hard to find drivers as the company no longer supports the device. Wouldn't waste money on it.

They de-listed the drivers with microsoft, so if you don't already have them downloaded, it's completely useless.

Plugged it in and it absolutely did not work. Was not at all compatible with the default drivers, I needed to find a youtube video to learn how to dig into some deep driver settings and change it manually to the asus driver. For those who just want to plug it in and get it to work, they will be extremely frustrated like I was. It was way cheaper than any of the other dongles I saw on the website, and now I can see why. If you're not comfortable digging through windows settings, avoid this adapter.

It has very short range, horrible input lag, and the connection is unreliable. It might work great for a laptop that needs a small dongle, if the connected device is no more than two feet away, but for most uses, it sucks.

Product is a complete pain to get setup, even on a modern windows 10 System. Instructions that come with the product are useless, they claim that 'drivers will be automatically installed' when it is well documented that this isn't the case. I would strongly recommend to anyone reading this that they purchase from a well established tech company, and not from Insignia. Insignia is one of the Best Buy house brands, and the quality is NOTICEABLY lower than from companies solely focused on parts manufacturing.
