Would not reccomend. When plugged in it was not recognized by my computer. Had it not been for a bunch of other people having this same issue and finding a fix I would not have been able to figure it out.

I have some basic Bluetooth headphones that work fine with phones and laptops. Connected to my PC via this thing, they sound like tin cans on a string. Just terrible sound. Not even worth trying. Will be returning.

Does not work. After some research, a Windows Update broke compatibility with this device. No driver can be found, and the HP bluetooth driver that used to work with it no longer does.

Picked up this bluetooth adapter so our laptop could talk to a wireless speaker. No way to get this adapter to be mounted on the Windows 10 laptop. The blogs and forums are full of people who can't install this device. Good Luck.

Installed on a HP desktop on W2k pro, could not install, windows could not load a driver, downloaded drivers manually could not start. Do not buy this product it is defective.

It is a combo USB , I have 8.1 and harmon / kardon speakers this new combo version USB would not even pair my speakers. There is a USB that works at RS. I do not recomend anyone to buy this Best Buy new combo version Bluetooth USB.

DEAD from box. No matter WHICH USB port I try, this junk did not work. Will have to spend MY time & MY money to go to ANOTHER store to see if I can get a replacement.

This product will not work with Windows 7. The so-called Windows 7 driver would not install on any of the four computers I tried. Works fine with Windows 10.

There is no drivers disk in the package and the instructions direct you to the Broadcom website, but they have pulled the Win7 drivers! There are only drivers available for Windows XP, 8, 8.1, and 10.

This device has no driver for Windows 7. You can install a generic or other company's drivers for it, but then it really does not work correctly. If you have Windows 7 don't buy this.

This allowed me to broadcast, even from about 40 feet away, to a huge blue tooth speaker. It works great indoors and outdoors as well.

Piece of cr@p. Can't find drivers, windows 10 update doesn't find drivers, Insignia site doesn't have drivers.

Although this product boasts Compatibility with windows 7, Broadcom are currently updating their drivers required for this OS and so it's currently unavailable.

Refuses to see my xbox elite 2 controller, all other connections are spotty and disconnect often. DO NOT BUY.

Worked fine on a windows PC after running driver install, which must be downloaded. Did NOT work on Linux. I would recommend the Iogear one over this.

Discontinued by the manufacturer, no longer supported by Windows 10.

This bluetooth dongle is garbage. It works fine under Windows 10 but the range is no longer than 4 feet. Anything beyond that and the signal breaks up. It need absolute line of sight to work. my cat walked in front of the adapter and I completely lost signal. I will definitely be returning this.

Wireless is the way to go, no more wires no more mess

I congratulate those who got it to work, I just wasted 2 hours and it did not for me. First of all, the insigniaproducts.com web site does not have an English manual (404 not found), just Spanish, and unfortunately I don't read Spanish. The broadcom site lists a lot of drivers and I downloaded what I hoped was the right one (doesn't say which one is for what product). Took 30 minutes on my older laptop and did not get past 40% loaded. Went to my newer laptop, took 20 minutes to install, then it could not detect my Bluetooth speaker sitting right next to it (my cell phone found the speaker right away). Very frustrated and taking it back for a refund.
