Small, works on USB hubs. Blue light shows that it is in use.

I was gifted with a good laptop (nice!), but it didn't come with built-in Bluetooth, and the built-in speakers are less than ideal for video chats. Plugging in an external speaker cut out the laptop's mic. But with the addition of this Bluetooth adapter I can now pair my laptop with a powered Bluetooth speaker. Exactly what I had planned.

Simple install with Windows 10. No driver downloads. Plug and Play works. Quality is great with Bose headsets. Choppy sound using Apple Ear pods.

This adapter installed easily and it has works flawlessly on each of the 2 computers it is on.

For the price, it's not terrible. it does a fair job (hence the fair rating!) at what it's meant to do for the general consumer. - The range is much shorter than described. Maybe 5-8 feet of decent signal. After 8 feet it will connect with significant input delay. - Just need to pair some headphones up? No problem. - Plugging a keyboard in? You will notice this bluetooth device isn't strong enough to keep up with your inputs if you're a fast typer. - Xbox or PS controller? Horrible. Unless you're pointing the controller right to the adapter, you will have major input lag. For xbox controllers, just get the Xbox Windows Adapter. I've had no trouble with signal even while being covered in a thick blanket when using the Microsoft intended adapter. - I've had this dongle for 2 years now, and just recently (February 2022), it's begun to turn off all bluetooth connections at random times/intervals. TLDR- For $14, and a basic headphone user. Good to go with this. Anything more, then look elsewhere, and spend more.

I was able to use this on my older machine with Windows 7 and also the newer machine with WIndows 10. Definitely impressed with the driver install and ease of use.

Works like a champ. I bought an open package device and its perfect for what I needed. Once, I was able to install the firmware. If you are having a problem with win10. Open windows update and select view optional updates and select broadcom... once it updates win10 will recognize it.

Very happy with this purchase. Adapter worked almost immediately after plugging in and installing drivers.

When I first put this in, it didn't show a driver even though it said it was installed. Using it on window 10. I had to install this link first to make it work https://oemdrivers.com/bluetooth-insignia-ns-pcy5bma2 So far picks up my devices.

I needed a BT dongle to connect a wireless BT speaker with audio files on my PC. Best Buy had one online and the nearest BB store had it in stock Satisfied as it works great

Worked great for 4 months and then I get the "Drivers unavailable" message in my device settings in Windows 10. Searched around for drivers and was very hard until I ran across another review. Go to http://www.driverscape.com/download/bcm20702a0 and download the drivers there. I downloaded file mentioned below: Driver Version: 12.0.0.9980 Release Date: 2014-09-25 File Size: 171.98M Supported OS: Windows 10 32 & 64bit, Windows 8.1 32 & 64bit, Windows 7 32 & 64bit, Windows Vista 32 & 64bit, Windows XP Manually update the driver by following the steps below: - Download the zip file and extract its contents in its own folder where it can be easily found - Open Device Manager and look for your bluetooth adapter that's having issues - Right-click on the bluetooth adapter's name (bcm20702a0) and click on "Update driver software" - Choose "Browse my computer for drivers" and select the folder where you extracted the zip file from earlier - Follow the remaining prompts to finish installation It's got it up and running again but if the issue persists within 1 year (1-year manufacturers warranty) of buying, I'm going back to the store to return.

Best Buy Geek Squad found that my Sony Touchscreen laptop has a defective design with the combined WiFi Bluetooth circuit. WiFi would often be extremely slow or not work. The Geek Squad determined that the unit would not work well with both WiFi and Bluetooth in use, The solution was this external Bluetooth dongle, Everything function very well now. WiFi is fast and the Bluetooth works well too

I purchased this for my gaming pc and it works great. Setup was easy and it connects to my devices fast. Works excellent for the price.
