Great way to have Bluetooth on your desktop. I use it for wireless headphones and my cricut machine. No issues

Despite the manual claiming that this is a plug and play device, I found that to be false on Windows 11. The required drivers did not automatically install and were not available through Windows Update. To my surprise there are no drivers available on Insignia's website to download either. I had to search on Github to find the required driver, and then it was finally recognized by my computer. It works, but the installation was frustrating for me. Someone who doesn't know much about computers may never have been able to get this working on their computer. I would recommend an adapter from another brand, and I may end up returning this just for the fact that installation was a pain.

We needed a dongle to attach a wireless speaker to our pc to play music in an area. Just plug and play and it works great so far.

Had a heck of a time trying to get windows 10 to even recognize this adapter. But heres how I did it..... Open Device Manager in windows (via search in bottom left) In the list you will find Other Devices, under that you'll see Bcm20702a0, right click it and choose "Update Driver". Then on next screen choose option "Browse My Computer For Drivers." On next screen choose "Let Me Pick From A List Of Available Drivers On My Computer." In the next window (in box 1) scroll down to "GenericAdapter" and select it, then in box 2 select "Generic Bluetooth Adapter" and hit next. Should be a cakewalk from there. Might have to restart the pc. There is an alternative way to install the correct drivers through Windows update, but its a pain for anyone not installing updates. As far as the device it works, and does what its supposed to. The reason it got 3 stars is because the range on this is horrible, works fine if youre less than 12 ft from the adapter, 13 ft and you WILL lose signal. if range is a big deal to you, spend a few bucks more and get a bluetooth 5.0 adapter, as this is only 4.0

Compacting does not stick out of my laptop too far. It does what it's supposed to do.

Bluetooth has its limitations and so does this adapter. I got this adapter in order for my PC to work with my Bluetooth keyboard. At first I put it in the back of my computer. It would work, but I would experience some slight delayed inputs every few keystrokes. I then put in the front ports of my computer where it was more in line of sight with my keyboard and I’ve had very few problems.

Works well to add bluetooth to a desktop that is a bit older but you do not want to replace.

This Bluetooth adapter is performing as expected with no issues.

My older desktop did not have bluetooth. I really wanted to use my bluetooth headset. Best Buy to the rescue. The Insignia bluetooth 4.0 usb adapter solved the problem The headset and some other things a keyboard and mouse all word good.

Super useful gadget for older hardware that go not have built in Bluetooth.

I purchased this because my older desktop is not bluetooth , and I like the Bluetooth mice , This works great, in fact I had purchased a blue tooth adapter for my speakers on my laptop and this was trying to connect to them all the time , I had to disable them. I would recommend this , its perfect to upgrade an old system

at that price and this day and age,you are hard pressed to find something that works and works well.

I purchased this to use with my Windows 10 Pro system since the latest Microsoft Update knocked out my internal Blu-tooth. The adapter was immediately recognized by Windows 10 and allowed my to pair my blu-tooth mouse and keyboard with no problem. I cannot speak as to if it works with sound or not.

Works well and is easy to connect to all my Bluetooth systems. Well worth the money.

Needed to adapt my older laptop to use bluetooth devices, and this is what the Geeks at BestBuy recommended - it was just what I needed. My only concern is that I have to keep good track of where I put it when I don't have it inserted in the laptop. So small, it would be very easy to lose.

Have an older PC without blue tooth. These instantly made my computer blue tooth compatible. Great for $15!!
