All you have to do is pair you're device to it, very easy. I bought it to use with a blue tooth mouse, by default the adapter is set to allow it to enter power saver mode. I found this annoying when using the mouse, so in properties you can just disable it.

Good bluetooth dongle for computer

Finally Bluetooth 4.0 USB dongle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to update my desktop Bluetooth I had a 2.0 Bluetooth dongle and I was experiencing a lot of issues trying to use my Wii controller with my PC and some other issues after updating to this dongle with Bluetooth 4.0 all my problems went away and now my desktop computer has seamless Bluetooth

Just what I needed!!

No way to set up my wireless mouse and keyboard with that piece of junk computer, and I only realized it way too late or I'd have returned it....but I went in and got this little doohickey and now my piece of junk has Bluetooth. Yay.

Inexpensive way to add Bluetooth to your computer

It allows us to use Bluetooth headsets for Zoom meetings or to allow workers to listen to audio privately. Just plug it in and pair your Bluetooth devices.

Simple and functional

Just plug into USB port, go to the website listed on the instructions, download the installation software. Make sure you download the file recommended for your operating system. I'm on Windows 10. Within a couple of minutes your bluetooth is up and running smoothly. Had no problems whatsoever.
