I had to buy this dock kit because my nephew broke the original one that game with his switch. It works perfectly if you use the charger that comes with it. I try to use the same port but a different charger and it wouldn’t work!!

Nice to have most especially when you travel around.

I bought this to plug in all my gaming systems into it. I had a few issues with certain systems. It turns out it does not have enough power on the output to produce the sound. The picture was fine but no sound

For 39.99$, you not only get the dock, but you -also- get a power cable and an HDMI cable. The dock itself is smaller than the official Nintendo Switch dock due to no big walls on either side of the USB-C port. From trying it out, I have no complaints. It's a little heavier than the official dock, but not by much. It's far more compact and mobile, and is a steal for that price. Not to mention that it comes with two cables that are usually 20-30$ per cable. The fact that the USB-C port isn't spring-loaded really isn't a big issue at all. It is a bit harder to insert the console into the dock when compared to the official dock, but you get used to it and it becomes very easy to put in and take out from then on. I wouldn't fault the product at all for it. In fact, having a hard port makes it more difficult for the console to fall out of the dock. I can't recommend this enough for the price. Unless you want your dock to say 'Nintendo' on it, it is not worth it spending 50$ more for the official Switch dock when this is on the market. Okay, so for the price this is good. Only issue is that the USB -C on the bottom kind of stresses me out. I don't feel like it supports the switch as well as the Nintendo one. With that in mind I have stopped using this.

This was a fantastic dock that had a lower profile than the one that came with the Switch. Unfortunately, it stopped working after a week. Couldn't bring it back to life so I had to return it.

Kind of a mixed bag. Like the low profile and reduced risk of scratching the screen on the Switch, but it does occasionally have trouble connecting/charging.

I was told that I needed this dock kit for my kids to be able to play on the tv, but turns out if you buy the Nintendo switch game it brings its own dock.

I have a smart TV that picks out and automatically plays systems, and it didn't recognize this. Not a big thing at all, but for 40 bucks those kinds of thing count.

Works just fine. Takes a couple seconds to load on tv compared to the almost instant from the regular dock. It is a bit of a tight fit so I can see where people have had their switch get scratched

They cheated out and didn't give this a USB 3.0 port. This product had a lot of potential, they should have thrown an ethernet port on it.

The dock does what it says and works just as well as an official one, but it is much less secure. I fear for my Switch’s life every time my dog runs by. Other than that, works great.

This product does what the it says it is going to do. But it is too small to hold up the switch up and it can fall out pretty easy. If you have kids i dont recommend it.

Didn't realize that the Switch came with one already so I had an extra one for the other room so I wouldn't have to move everything.

I've yet to have any issues with this dock pre-5.0 update, but now I cannot trust using this dock after all of the bricked Switch consoles since the 5.0 system update.

OK for a dock. But have an issue where I have to unplug it every couple days due to it not charging the counsel anymore. After I cycle power works just fine.

used for a few days and i was very happy, but suddenly a lot of people on internet started to get bricked switches using third party docks, so I returned :(
