Takes up less space than the factory dock. Works well with the Switch.

If you frequent hotel rooms or travel to others homes a lot, this is a great quality of life increase. Much smaller and more sturdy than original dock. You can put the dock and adapter in suitcase without fear of breaking or the need of a special case. I use a regular travel case for the switch itself. Can now easily setup shop wherever I am that has a TV.

Great price. Works great. I use it to play my switch on a TV, in a different room.

Keep this dock kit at a 2nd home or at a friend's house. It's not too expensive and works as advertised. The Switch unit itself doesn't dock into here *quite* as easily as it does on the OEM Nintendo dock, but for this price point it's a minor inconvenience at the very worst. Still well worth it to not have to constantly transport the dock, HDMI, and power cables from one location to another.

This dock is great. We were traveling and did not pack our original dock, luckily Best Buy has this dock by Insignia. It comes with the charging USB C cable, HDMI cable and the dock. The dock only has a port for the HDMI and charger it does not have a USB port like the original. It was exactly what we needed and now we have a dock for traveling and one for home.

This is a great product, it is not bulky at all and wont scratch the screen.

THEE PERFECT BUY for your Switch...I just toss this one in my room so whenever i need to use it instead of moving the one out of my living room I just snatch this one up. It’s quick and easy set up make it a must buy for anyone in the gaming industry with a Nintendo switch right about now. Get it get it get it!!!

From what I have seen and heard this is one of the only Docks that doesn't brick the switch. I used this for a few weeks during the time frame of the 5.0 bricking nightmare. My switch didn't brick but sometimes this dock would have an issue displaying on the tv or the base light still being on hours after shutdown even with a full charge (all the connections were snug). I originally bought this because my switch was getting very very hot after only a couple hours of playing Mario kart while docked. The insignia dock did help and my switch would not heat up even 4 hours later. It also made it so I didn't have to strip my dock and build a new one in a cheap DIY case. It was a little hard to line up and a tight fit if you have a tempered glass screen protector. it didn't brake my glass protector but left some marks on it. I was also concerned about the snug fit of the plug into the switch port at the bottom. In my opinion with the frequency of docking and undocking it seems like it would only be a matter of time before the connection on the switch might end up lose and no longer accept a charge. Again that's just my opinion but I don't feel its worth damaging a $300 console. I wish I didn't have to buy something extra just to feel safe when using my switch in tv mode. NINTENDO should have given us a better dock from the get go. I returned the dock as to not risk damaging my console. I hope Nintendo or someone makes something that works perfectly out the box. unfortunately I am still looking for a better, safe solution.
