Admittedly, my issues may be due to my connection setup, which involves HDMI switches, but I have had a couple instances where the dock doesn't seem to recognize the Switch. However, to have an additional dock at a much more reasonable price point is fantastic. I will be buying another for an additional TV in the house.

This is the dock I take with me to hotels or to friends houses and have not had ONE issue. It’s smaller than the Nintendo dock, therefore easier to travel with. I was nervous to buy Insignia but the dock has impressed me with its durability

This dock is a low cost alternative to the expensive additional docking system offered by Nintendo for their Switch. It functions perfectly and we have had no issues. Its great to put in your kids bedroom so that you can send them there if you are wanting to watch TV and not them playing a game.

Got this for my finace for Christmas. He was very happy with it because the normal switch charging port is garbage. The switch fits in pretty snug which is a good thing because it feels safe and secure! Also, very clear when hooking it up to the TV still. Overall, great purchase.

This is the only non-Nintendo dock that you can safely use based on various sources. It works great with the device and due to the slim profile I actually use this one in the living room and the official one in the bedroom. Great for travel as well!

I got this so I can move my Switch from my theater room to my living room when I had friends over. It has such a low profile, supports high-quality HDMI, and has no problem powering the Switch. I'd buy this over the Nintendo version in any scenario!

My kids were moving the Switch from the main TV to the basement TV all the time, so I thought another dock would be nice. The Nintendo brand dock seemed over-priced, so when this Insignia dock was on sale I thought I'd give it a try. So far, so good. It functions as promised.

From time to time I enjoy playing somewhere else with my nintendo switch on someone else TV's but the dock that I have at home is very complicated to unplug and plug every time. This insignia dock is perfect to carry everywhere with a perfect value for a nintendo switch dock.

Bought this for a second TV for when we needed kids out of the family room. Works perfectly as a dock. Way cheaper and even ligher than the Nintendo original. One thing I would advise is to gently place the console on thew dock because it's kind of a tight fit and could scratch the bottom of the Switch.

perfect extra dock in addition to or to replace the original switch dock. it is much cheaper than the official nintendo dock they sell now but the build quality of this one is great and definitely worth it. not often do you get to save money and have the build quality meet official standards!

I bought this when traveling in hotels for multiple months. I was worried about it “bricking” my Switch and it did not. It’s inexpensive and works just as well as the Switch dock that came with the system. Highly recommended for quality, price and portability.

Very impressed, has no plate facing the screen like the original that comes with the switch. This is great since you won’t get scratches while plugging in. Only thing I do not like is that it is an actual plug it fits into so I am always worried it may break off in my switch.

Bought this extra dock for my switch. So I can move it in the house without having to unhook my original dock. From the reviews this is the only one that will not brick your system. I can not vouch for that. However it was one of the reason's I bought this dock

Great compact dock where you don't have to worry about scratching the screen. Doesn't take up a lot of space when the switch isn't docked as well. No problems with the image quality when playing in docked mode as well.

I bought the Nyko brand dock when it came out and it FRIED my switch. After swapping it out I was hesitant to try another, but the reviews made me decide to give it a shot. Totally worth it. Much more portable version that I can toss in my backpack and bring to the office on lazy fridays.

I have the main doc that came with the system in the living room. This was perfect to put in my boy’s room. This is a cost effective way of letting the kids (of parents) to play in multiple rooms. Or do letting dad play Zelda on the main TV while the kids are sleeping. ;)

This comes with the dock and power adapter, making it a much better deal than the Nintendo dock which only comes with the dock and you need to buy the power adapter separately. While I've heard that some third-party docks can cause problems with the Switch console, I haven't had any issues with mine.

There's been a lot of stories of people's Switch systems getting damaged by using other Switch docks rather than the official one from Nintendo, but the Insignia one never gave me any trouble. Not yet anyway. But it's still a bit of a risk. That said, I really appreciate how portable it is compared to the official dock.

My switch dock had broken & I needed a replacement, wasn't into buying a $100 official nintendo version. Found this at Best buy, had it for 4 Months, no Problems, no Overheats, also doesn't scratch your screen, unlike the Nintendo one, just saying.
