Pros: - Cost much less than the Nintendo dock. - Works just fine (and no "bricking" the Switch as other 3rd party docks have been known to do) - No plastic covering to potentially scratch the screen, as with the Nintendo dock Cons: - I sometimes have to unplug and re-plugin the Switch for it to enter dock mode with this dock - Docking isn't quite as seamless as with the Nintendo dock as the Switch won't "roll" into place. You have to make sure to line up the connector Inferior overall to the Nintendo dock, but a good alternative if you want to spend less.

It doesn’t block or scratch the screen like the Nintendo version which by the way when I saw this one on bestbuy.com. I searched for the Nintendo version and found out best buy doesn’t carry the Nintendo brand only their own and after reading other reviews from other sites carrying the Nintendo version, and they were mostly not good, I decided on the Insignia one and very happy I did and so is my brother.
