With all the reviews of other 3rd party docks bricking the switch, I had my reservations about this one. So far it works great!

Being almost $40 cheaper than the official Nintendo one, and the only difference is there is only 1 usb slot on this is worth it

Does exactly the same thing that the original does. Just more compact. I definitely recommend this product

It nice because it so much smaller than the docking station than what the switch actually comes with.

I bought this item a month ago and have been using it as my 2nd dock. So far, the dock works good. Sometimes it doesn’t get the image to display if docked while screen is off. Be careful when putting your Switch in this dock. Gently secure it on the port. Do not force it on and do not yank it off. It does not slide in and out easy. When undocking, hold the base down and pull from top of the Switch. You should be good to go.

Bought this dock as an extra to take on trips so my kids can play on the tv . Works just like the original but much cheaper.

Great replacement for my Switch Dock. I have no issues and it just works. I would recommend. I'll be using this for travel.

Does what it’s supposed to do. Using this as a second dock to be able to play in different rooms effortlessly.

Will not brick your system and works great. Plus it allows open airflow so you dont need to worry about overheating.

Ever since I bought my Nintendo switch I was looking for a new dock, for use on other tvs. The dock from Nintendo is too expensive. I also heard that the Nyko one was pretty bad. I decided to trust the Best Buy brand (Insignia) dock and was pleased by the results. It does what it says it does. No major issues here. (Nyko). Has a nice weight to it, feels sturdy. The only downsides are: one usb port in the back, unlike the Nintendo dock (2). The picture to tv mode isn't as instant as the original dock. and the shape may make it somewhat difficult to take with you elsewhere. But overall it still makes a good secondary dock.

Loved that I could get a product that works exactly the same as the original and so much less expensive.

tl,dr; is it underpowered, or is it me? The dock has a substantial discount over the OEM Switch dock (which actually seems to be sold out at this time, if you wanted a second one) and it's known to work with the TVs, so I bought it. It works okay, Form factor is smaller--a plus. It also doesn't have as many USB ports--a minus. But the big issue is, after a few hours of playing, the Switch slows down, like an overheated computer, as if it wants to throttle down. After a bit, I realized that the dock is not providing enough power. The battery slowly drains as I play the games, and when it hits low battery level at, say, 20 percent or so, it starts throttling to match the power out. Normally, if your Switch starts at 100% docked, it should stay 100%. Not so in this case. Now, it seems other people do not have issues like me; I'm not sure if it's a bad batch or just a bad luck on my part. It's not completely unusable and the form factor is slimmer than the OEM so that was nice. It also kind of works as an unintentional timer that tells me that I've been playing too much video games in one sitting, so that's also fine. Again, it's more of anecdotal evidence than anything else. Hope others' docks are working better than mine.

this dock is better than the one that comes with the system, you don't have to worry about it scratching your screen

So much cheaper than name brand, works great! Allows me to move to different TVs in my house!

I bought this as I needed a cheap spare dock and have not had any issues with it after 1 year.

Works great and it's a great size for taking it out of the house. Make sure you use the provided charger! Others don't work
