When its charging we can only connect to TV - but cannot play on the Switch directly. Other than that limitation - its good and effective as a portable second charger when we travel.

I’ve had persistent issues where the image cuts out on the tv and I have to wiggle the switch to get it back on. Also make sure you put it somewhere safe as your switch is more exposed while in this dock

On my tv it does not recognize the unit as a switch console so it will shut the tv off because the tv think it’s just sitting with no activity . So I have to go and change the shut off option for the tv. It’s a nice cheap option after changing the option

My daughter has the switch and was constantly plugging and unplugging from living room to bedroom tv. Now we have this so only the handheld is moved. Much easier and faster plus less wear and tear on both TVs and gaming cords

It's a bit harder to get it "seated" and charging (has to be pushed down a bit as opposed to the Nintendo one just sliding in and resting naturally) but for half the cost I couldn't be more happy. It also looks cooler than the official dock.

And the included cables are not included in many of the various competing brands, for similar pricing! This product enabled us to easily be able to play the switch in any room.

It's minimal footprint makes it great for use on TV's serving as secondary or for grandparents who want their grandchildren to be able to play on their set but don't want to invest in a whole system.

The Nintendo licensed docks are way too expensive and I can find better things to spend my money on. I know a concern I had was if it was going to brick my switch which it has not. I don’t think Best Buy would allow something to be sold on their shelves that could crash your machine.
