Wont dock with a case on

It will dock in the original docking station that came with the switch, but to dock in the insignia, I have to remove the case. Worried about unneeded wear and tear on my case now. Other than that, it's a great little docking system. Heavy and wont tip over. Hooks up quickly and works well.
