    Bought an open box online, hooked it up and I couldn't get it to work. Returned it for a brand new one, hooked that up and still, nothing. I was ready to settle and pay a little extra for the official Nintendo TV adapter, but it was said that the COVID19 pandemic had apparently halted production and there were none to be found in store. So I went ahead and bought the YoK adapter for the Switch and it worked like a charm. I'm not going to totally trash the Insignia adapter as many people seem content with it, my experience and research has led to say that maybe these Switches are finicky and theres no guarantee that this device will work for you.

    Insignia has put out a great third-party device for the Nintendo Switch. The dock itself has more space and less chances of scratching in the event you do not have a screen protector compared to the official Nintendo dock. There is one problem with this device though and it seems like it is on Nintendo's end. It seems there has been a possibility of the Switch bricking on third-party devices when the current firmware device is 5.X. Insignia, Nyko, and nearly all third-party devices cause it to happen. They all state it is on Nintendo's end which seems likely. Heed with caution as of this post. I do not blame Best Buy even if they are giving this away for free with a Nintendo Switch purchase because they cannot be up to date with knowing firmware revisions and potential damage on every single product. Hopefully Nintendo fixes the issue because the bricking is all that is holding this item back from being a great value.
