Didn't bother to open and "test" before we boarded our plane. 1 side worked as described, other side had to hold the jack a certain way to hear it. Tried multiple headphones, even tried the terrible ones you get from the airlines.

The fittings were the opposite of what I needed and I had to have someone drive to the store and pick up a whole new headphone set! Plan to return if I can find the time!
