Allows me to use my old Radio Shack headphones (they have fantastic sound quality) while others are able to also hear TV without getting blasted out of the room . Connected to newer tv with optical cable . Working great !

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Guess how frustrated I was when after buying a nice brand new LG 4K TV to find out that my home theater system was too outdated, or maybe, LG was not considerate enough to add RCA inputs my new TV, but maybe want to save a few bucks and decided to let is out, forcing me to by this converter, and a optical cable. Anyway, this converter works fine and do its job.

Was able to connect it to my PS4 and I do most of my stuff on there (Blu-ray/Netflix/games) and it sounds awesome. Required a Digital Optical Audio Cable to go with it to complete conversion as the Bose system is not HDMI compatible.

Works great for my LG OLED TV

Just follow the instructions for the converter connections and set the audio output on the TV to the optical setting and the sound come out perfect.

Did have me confused on the 2nd day when it didn't work anymore. Turns out it needs to be reset in order to pick up the signal after the TV has been powered down. Solved this by plugging it into a switched outlet so that I could turn it off and on.

Decided to use my old stereo receiver and speakers instead but needed a way to connect my newer tv to my old receiver. This device solved that problem and the whole neighborhood can hear our movies now.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to convert the digital out from my new tv to optical wireless headphones works great the only problem I have is I have to switch the cables from my sound bar to the adapter every time I use them and I have to unplug and reconnect the power when I do that so they will work other than that great product

We have a 70" plasma in our bedroom as well which makes evenings a bit challenging. This Insignia converter box allowed us to easily connect over-the-ear headphones to my old surround sound theater. I can study and she can watch all her shows without distraction.

Easy box to take the only output on a Samsung TV (how it can only have an optical output and nothing else is baffling) and turn it into analog for Bose desktop speakers is wonderful.

Seems to be of a much better quality then the one from Ebay but still not usable due to incorrect format of digital signal coming out of my Sharp TV.
