Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the Optical/Coaxial Digital-to-Analog Audio Converter for its great sound quality and ease of use. Many find it compatible with their existing setups, especially when HDMI is not an option, and consider it a good value for the price. The only notable drawback mentioned is the absence of a volume control feature.

I have used this product for a few years now and while technology has greatly improved, I still my older home stereo sound system and this helps convert audio easy and clear. And to connect it all together, its super simple and the product seems very durable.

I use this digital coax converter for a Sony blu-ray player that doesn't have an analog out to be able to connect to a PA stereo system. Works excellent and no hum/white noise is ever present, unlike many other digital-to-analog converters I've used in the past. Recommended, especially at the low price point!

    Exceeded My Expectations

Exceeded my expectations. I know I could have ordered it for a third this price but I wanted it now and I like to support brick and mortar stores whenever I can. I was using a monster dac from Wally World before this one. It died and I figured I wouldn’t notice any difference between this one and the monster and the best I could hope for was that it wouldn’t sound any worse. Turns out it sounds significantly better. The bass is a little deeper and more accurate and it just overall sounds better. It really does feel like I’ve been staring at something through dirty glass and now it’s clean and I begin to notice things I hadn’t noticed before. I can’t yet speak to longevity and I’ve never heard any of the expensive DAC’s that are out there. I’m am saying that for $30 it competes very well. At least I’m not kicking myself for not ordering it but instead feel like I’ve stumbled onto a bit of luck for getting it when I did. It’s a safe bet with this DAC at this price point. And I’m having to much fun going back through my collection to see what I’ve been missing to worry about it.

Nice little adapter -makes my wife happy

Although I could send audio from my TV to a speaker my wife had me put behind my chair (yeah, hearing loss..,) using blue tooth, I could not control the second speaker volume by itself. The TV volume control did both speakers. This adapter allowed me to use the optical output from the TV convert it to analog sound signal, hardware its output to my speaker and run sound to my speaker while turning the sound on the TV itself way down or completely off. I could hear the TV without blasting my wife out of the room. Happy wife, happy life!

    Works As Expected- Crisis Avoided

Recently bought a fantastic LG 55 in. 4K HD television, not even expecting to open it and find it only has Optical and HDMI out ports for sound. I really did not want to replace a $500 Polk Audio Sound Bar and Sub simply because it only has RCA "in" connections. This adapter works as advertised. No loose connections as reviewed by some others. My adapter worked right out of the box....as long as you don't count the twenty minutes or so I stood there trying to figure out that I needed the switch (on the side) set to "optical" because that's the cable I had. Just really relieved that I only had to spend under $40 and NOT another $400.

Perfect fix to the analog/digital conundrum

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is a great product that solved my problem of having an older amp that is all analog and a new TV with the only sound output being optical. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable impact to sound quality with my current setup. Only issue is sometimes the converter just stops working (no sound coming through speakers), and I have to unplug the converter and plug it back in to get it to work again.

Set it up right, it works great!

I needed to convert digital optical output to RCA plugs to connect to my old amplifier. TV is a new Samsung Series 7 (7100) model, 55". Looked at several options on Amazon. Read the reviews on the Best Buy option, especially the ones about it not working on Samsung TV's. Tried it anyway, it works great. Just set it up correctly. Set the switch on the converter to PCM, and in audio settings on the TV set both outputs (HDMI & Dolby Stereo) to PCM. Very good sound with no lag or need to sync the sound. Set it wrong, all you get is garbled noise.

I recently purchased an LG 55 inch high definition television. It did not have the old analog sound Jack, no RCA jack, no 8th inch jack. It just had the digital audio jack. I own a Bose Cine-Mate that I bought 12 years ago. It works great and I did not want to buy a new sound unit. Quite frankly mine sounds better than the newer ones I think. I use the converter with the correct digital audio cable and voilà! I have incredible sound. My television has a way to sync sounds between the TV and The X ternal sound unit if that's what you want , but I don't even use the TV speakers.
