It only lasted for 17 months, then died. The unit will still (kind-of) make ice for one cycle if you unplug it, power it on, off, then on again. The last unit we had only lasted for a little over two years. I am guessing these things are just prone to breakage. Would not recommend.

It was replaced several times and was never a long term fix so this is my only ice maker. It makes enough ice for my husband and myself and I really like it. It is rather hard to clean I think.

Not worth it

I don't see this working for multiple people who want to fill more than one glass with ice. Also, now that it is warmer the ice is melted into tiny hail inside the machine, even the producing ice is now flattened like a mint.

Worked great until just this past week. A weird fluid started coming out of the side and it just stopped making ice. I tend to buy warranties on things with moving parts, and I got the four year on this one. Glad I did.

I planned to use it for my bar. but... it's not the size of ice you want for DRINKS. takes about 5 minutes to make 11 cubes. tiny cubes. won't buy again. not for a bar.
