Sort of works, Can't pause, changing modes sometimes works mostly doesn't. Turns tv on and off, volume and that's about it for functionality

My Hisense TV remote leaves a lot to be desired. Its odd button placement, lack of number pad, and touch-and-go responsiveness usually keeps looking for an upgrade. And while it isn't perfect, the Insignia replacement remote for Hisense TVs does enough to be a viable option. Packed with a setup guide and two AAA batteries, the Insignia replacement remote is ready to go out-of-box. The remote is lightweight and has big, easy to see labels as well as programmable, color-coded buttons on the bottom. It configures with your Hisense TV as soon as you point at it, automatically pairing with it or if needed, allowing you to scroll through preset codes to connect. It even allows you to pair with and control a connected soundbar. This process was quick and painless and allows you to start using your TV seamlessly. The buttons are big with a smooth rubber texture, and in its active state is very responsive. However, I did find a few of the buttons stuck in a depressed state sometimes - it didn't affect the TV controls, but it was noticeable and somewhat annoying to physically pull up the buttons at times. What stands out with the Insignia replacement remote, however, was the customizability. Being able to program shortcut keys to switch inputs to connected devices like my streaming stick, then being able to continue using the remote to control those devices really makes the remote an economical device. This remote allows me to pack away several remotes and have confidence in using the one universal option. Whether you've lost, broken, or just gotten fed up with your OEM Hisense remote, the Insignia replacement remote has enough going for it to be a worthy substitute. While some buttons stick on occasion, for the most part the Insignia replacement remote for Hisense TVs is a success in streamlining your TV viewing by becoming your go-to remote.

Bought this for my mother who has a Hisense TV. Was able to connect to TV however, the number buttons did not work.

The Insignia replacement remote for Hisense is an excellent choice if you have lost or damaged your original OEM remote. The direct replacement makes it easy to get you back to watching TV. While this is not an advanced remote and does not offer voice control or Bluetooth connectivity, it provides all the standard and basic buttons “features” that you will need to control your tv. The remote was easy to setup as it is preprogrammed and took me a minute to pair with my tv following the instructions. The remote uses IR to control your tv and you can customize or teach the remote certain commands like launching apps. You can also control other devices like a soundbar (if you are not using ARC). The remote is powered by 2 AAA batteries. I found the remote works great and I have no complaints. It’s easy to get angry with a replacement remote but this one works well. The remote does feel cheaply made and I am sure it can take some abuse but with a toddler living in my home….I feel as though it won’t be strong enough in the long run. It definitely looks like a replacement remote. All in all a good replacement remote for a Hisense branded TV. It looks and feels like a replacement remote but at least it works and I really have no frustrations with it.

While it looks a little different than the original remote that came with our TV, it has all the buttons of that remote and a few others. I was able to test it all of the functions and it seems to work just fine with everything I needed to do. We have a 55" Hisense TV that is about 6 to 8 years old. It has been a great TV but the remote has lost a lot of the writing on the buttons. This new remote has all of the labels and they look great! The old remote was more rounded on the edges and some lines in the background, so it looked high quality. The new remote is kind of plain with a very blocky appearance that looks pretty generic. While most of the button labels are about the same size, the old remote has very small labels on the arrow buttons. This new remote has nice, large arrows that make it ready to see at a glance, so there is less fumbling to find the right button! The only thing that would make it better would be to have some backlighting on the remote but even the old remote didn't have that. Overall, it is a good remote that is ready to use and duplicates all of the functions of the original.

This remote works just as good and seems to be of the same quality as the factory remote. The only difference between the factory and this remote is the branding on the front and side by side is the only way I can tell them apart. Setup is very easy. It includes two AAA batteries and Quick Setup Guide. Codes are preset so all you have to do is select the program button and it will automatically pair with your TV. It paired for me right away, but it could take a few tries depending on the model of you Hisense TV. I was also able to pair with my soundbar which is super convenient. The soundbar is different brand and it only took a few tries to get it connected. The button layout is well labeled and easy to use. There is very little difference in the layout of this and the factory remote. The only big difference is that the four shortcut buttons, on the bottom of the remote, are pre-labeled for applications on the factory remote and just color coded on this one. I like that it is not pre-labeled better because not everyone will use all the pre-labeled programs on the factory unit. I highly recommend if you need to replace a lost or broken remote. I also suggest you get this as well for a backup for those frequent times when you cannot locate your remote at the most inconvenient time.

[PROS] Easy Setup: The instructions for getting started with the remote is pretty simple. The pairing process just requires holding the A and C button down while pointing the remote the TV. The TV will respond when compatibility has been achieved. Increased Functionality: My original remote contains key functionality but does leave more to be desired. This replacement gives me numbers, dedicated playback controls, and customizable buttons. Having specific rewind and fast forward buttons when using streaming apps is such an underrated feature. I often find myself wanting to go back to a scene without having to constantly click the left arrow key which can be annoying. Now, I don't have to do such as thing anymore. Responsiveness: If I did a blind response test between the remotes, I wouldn't be able to decipher between devices. This remote responds as fast as my original. [CONS] None whatsoever. [CONCLUSION] This Hisense replacement virtually lacks nothing. Its complete in functionality and offers a bit more compared to my OEM remote. Honestly, I've been using it more compared to my original. That's just how awesome it is. I would highly recommend it.

This remote dies just what it is supposed to-replace the one I lost, and replace it seamlessly. I was able to control my HiSense tv as soon as I took the remote out of the box and placed the batteries in. I had been using an app on my phone to control my TV since I lost the original remote. This worked ok, but was definitely not as easy or convenient as the actual remote. This replacement remote is not very expensive and is worth every cent. It also will connect easily with a sound bar through a simple set up. I simply pressed a couple of buttons on the remote and my JBL sound bar was connected. You can use the remote to power on just the TV or both the tv and your connected sound system. It also has macro functions to set up shortcuts. I haven't used those myself, since my TV use/streaming doesn't really necessitate it, but it's there if you want it. My only complaint is that they give you the really cheap batteries to start with (like all other remotes), but at least they include them. Overall I would definitely recommend getting this remote if you are in need of a replacement.

Got this remote the other day as a spare. We have a few Hisense smart TVs in the house and this worked with each of them. After popping in the batteries (that were nicely included) and without even programming or configuring anything, the power button on this remote instantly turned on the TVs. Just a side-note, it also turned on and fully controlled our Element, onn., and TCL smart TVs as well. The remote is pretty long and very light in weight. Has all the buttons (and more) than might be needed. Not to bad to hold in-hand with pretty basic “bar” styling. IR range and responsiveness worked fine at various distances and angles without issue. Definitely recommend as a replacement or spare for compatible TVs that use the IR signal.

I got it to work with my Hisense TV but it is honestly not great. I mean the power buttons and the volume works mostly, but sometimes the buttons change the channel and seems like the wires are crossed here. The build is very well done and has some lit up buttons. Maybe the learning function is better in that respect because I had to revert to my old remote to properly move through the menu. The packaging is nice and high quality for a plain remote. This comes with AAA batteries and ready to go. The cool function is that, if your remote is an IR remote, you can use this with a press of few buttons as instructed, this remote can learn your remote. In addition, if your audio equipment uses an IR remote, you can look up the code in the included booklets to look up your model and you can use this to act as a replacement remote as well. Overall the remote I believe works for the most part, but I believe it is the televisions that are the issue in regards to getting this remote to work, especially with the lower end models. I cannot recommend this remote. It is cheap but maybe try it and if it doe not work, simply return it.

Super easy to program done within 2 minutes. Very pleased
