We purchased a second one for our Samsung - 55" Class - LED - NU8000 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR. We love these remotes so easy to use. We have used it to control Directv Stream on our TV until we purchased Directv Stream box.

But I do not use smart Tv functions so I can't say how it works in conjunction with smart TV

No password, no sign ins. Wonderful for a dinosaur like me. Perfect timing for my granddaughter’s visit to use this new remote on the TV in her room.
