Does't work well, tv lighting shifts to too dark

I am very happy to find one. We will purchase another for our other TV. There are no problems any more.

Tried to hook up a DVD player to my TV, but the signal was so degraded that the picture was unwatchable and the audio sounded like static. Returned the unit. Was it defective? I really don't know. But it just didn't work as it's supposed to.
