Purchased the Insignia 3.0 it worked flawlessly. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I take lots of pictures and video on different types of memory cards so now I wont have to change the card reader.

Rather than cabling my cameras to my iMac, I simply place the memory card into this reader, which saves camera battery juice. This reader accepts SD cards, Compact Flash cards, and micro SD cards.

It also means no SD card reader, few usb ports and a solid state drive instead of a hard drive. Having external sd card reader, plug in multiple usb ports and an external hard drive means I have all I need without the weight. I just bring a jump drive when I travel for temporary backup. I use this SD card reader when I'm home to upload my pictures. Works perfect
