Fortunately it worked for almost the entire month-long road trip this past July, but just stopped in the last days as I was making my way home. It only was warranted for one year, so I certainly got my money's worth from it! I quickly replaced it with the Insignia - USB 3.0 Memory Card Reader and got caught up on uploading my photos. It just does the job and the new model has the cover attached to it so it can't get lost or misplaced. Great item for day-to-day use as well as travel.

I love this thing

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I got a computer that did not have any slots for SD cards, which I do use and most of the readers out there are clumsy in the way that they plug in and hang from the wire to the reader. This one is just a little larger than a USB thumbdrive and you can insert micro or regular SD cards in it. It sees them immediately and works great. It is also quite portable, which is a huge plus. I would buy this again if needed.
