Seems faster than internal laptop card reader
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the USB 3.0 Insignia Memory Card Reader for moving Digital Photographs. My laptop does have a SD card slot that can be used for MicroSD cards also, but with having 1000’s+ pictures I needed something that I could use if there was a possible failure with the laptop internal card reader and was small for travel. I didn’t check the actual transfer speed, but the Insignia card reader does seem to be faster than my internal card reader. I would definitely purchase again.

Camera card reader worked and fixed the PC's slot.

I got the memory card reader on the recommendation of the Windows store employee to bypass the non-working slot in the front of the tower. When I put the USB cable in the slot of the hub for the memory card reader, my camera's flash memory card worked fine. And, it also fixed the nonworking slot on the front of the PC too! I don't know exactly why. But all is well.
