We load up MicroSD cards with videos, then plug this right into our TV. There's never a problem with lag or read errors that you might get with a USB2.0 equivalent. My only complaint is a nit-pick: It would be nice if the cap could be snapped onto the other end when the device is in use.

Very small and adaptable for mini and regular SD cards. Works very quickly once is connected to your computer.

One of the things I worry about cheaper/3rd party SD card readers is that sometimes they tend to randomly disconnect by themselves. Thankfully, this one has held up to me using it multiple times a day and not randomly disconnecting while the computer is on.

The camera on my old Coolpix died and I lost the cable. Since Best Buy didn't carry the part I needed, I was pointed in the direction of this product. Skeptical as I was, I was desperate to retrieve the pictures from my SD card. Following the recommendation from a staff member, I chose this and I was able to retrieve my photos.

This does what I need it to do. I purchased this because for whatever reason my laptop would not read my camera when it was plugged in. I like that it has the Micro SD card and regular SD card slots. Good price, it's about $15. However, when I went online to register, it comes up as a discontinued product on the Insignia website, so this may not be available in stores when they're all sold out. Oh well. This is a cheap fast fix for what I needed at the time and will continue to use it until I need to replace it.

This things great. Not too bulky for my USB ports and reads and writes very quickly. Before this unit i purchased another from a competitor (the Nile river) and ultimately returned it for being too slow. Both came out being the same price but the insignia card reader was far superior in every way.

Needed a fast micro SD card reader and this fit the bill. I get about 42-44MB/sec transfer rate when using a USB 3.0 port on my computer. Very compact, no issues with drivers or anything in Windows 10. Would definitely buy again, very good value.

I got this because I tried to use a micro SD card in my Dell G5 Laptop which used the big SD card. I put my micro card in the adapter, put them in the laptop, and it didn't show up. Popped my micro SD card in this thing and it's working like a charm.

I bought this memory card reader for specific use with the Boom Infotainment unit in my Harley Davidson motorcycle. I have a microSD card from an mp3 player that I use in my car. I can now swap the microSD card between the car and the motorcycle and listen to the music!

The only reason I didn't give this product a 5 star is because when i insert the SD card and then connect the usb into the computer/tablet, half of the SD card is still exposed and when I'm taking out the usb, I have to be careful not to nudge the card by accident. At first it was a bit of concern, however, after many many uses, I've gotten used to it. Having that said, this device is super useful! I love it, it has allowed me to get more work done in a faster pace!

Works great with Mackbooks. Fast and accurate reader

The frequent use of the built in SD slot in my wife's laptop wore out the card reader built into the laptop. I picked this up for her and she was up and running in just a minute or so and I didn't have to go to the trouble of taking apart the laptop, ordering the part and putting it back together. It works perfectly!!!!

It does well with reading the memory card and small.
