It protects but cannot use the device well while in it

The case is durable but a little bulky. I was looking for something that can be attached to the 3ds while playing. My son is clumsy and continues to drop his from time to time. He can play with the 3ds sitting in the vault, but its not what I was looking for.

I have a 6 year old who drops things, or leaves it on the floor in his room...

Excellent case for 3DS not for 3DSXL, still tough and good

Great product for the cost, definitely protects the system.

Its a very sturdy case.. Bought a red one for my son.. The only thing that would have made it better was additional storage compartments for long trips.

This case was to snug for the Nintendo 3DS XL my son did not like it.

After reviewing this item, and checking customer comments I did a purchase on line for a Christmas present. Need less to say, it did not fit!!!! And this is after checking consumer reviews and, direct specifications from the dealer it's self. So very disappointing efforts from Best Buy. Will never order on line again!!!!

Purchased by mistake when looking for New 3DS in Florida

The vault case for the 3dsXl is most excellent. Durability is great and quite accomodating for games and small accessories.

The fit is very good and the extra storage in lid is well thought out. great for travel.

I purchase the case for my daughter for Christmas. Durable & looks great!!!!!

Not a fan of this case, because it pulls the back cover off of the xl when it is removed,

Plain and simple, the Nintendo 3DS XL didn't fit in this. I had high hopes to keep everything organized with this and was more than a bit disappointed.

Although great protection for carrying the 3DS and a few games, I was somewhat disappointed that you could not have the 3DS plugged in to charge while being stored. A minor nuisance. Seems to be decent quality. This is only week 2 with my 7 year old though.

This case was horriable...my son had a hard time removing the gaming system from the case.took it back to the store.

I have a regular 3DS and STILL had problems getting the darn thing to fit. After a bit of sliding and coaxing and shoving, it slipped in and, when I flipped the case, stayed rooted. I'd rec this, but add the sizing problem just in case! If you want something that'll work first try--keep looking. Otherwise, the case is fantastic and very sturdy! You can't play while the 3DS is in this case, but it's good for storage or for when you're moving!

This is by far the closest thing to a perfect 3DS XL Case ever made. It looks like a futuristic premium storage device. My only issue is the fact that someone thought it was a good idea to include 2 storage slots for SD cards. Really , I would have loved to be in on that design decision ( I know, instead of including storage for more games, lets make storage space for something that 99.9999999 pct of owners will never change, or ever need extra storage for, SD CARDS!!! BRILLIANT! I'm surprised that they didn't just double the size and add storage for your 2nd system.

So let's get right to it, i'm loving this case.It's a pretty basic case with standard instructions on how to fit it with the console you have.Case is strong,sturdy, and will protect you or your child's investment from even the hardest fall or drops it might endure.Case is super easy to use, no installation required,and is built to last.Inside thier's a flap seperating your console from the games/ sd card slots along with a slot for your stylis pen.Case will do you wonders and you don't ever have to worry about anyone stepping on it and your console breaking this thing is built to take hits.All in all I highly recommend this case if your someone who really wants to protect thier console and not care to much for looks.Softer casses just didn't do it for me they look better, more stylish of coarse, but if my console dropped i couldn't say I felt it would be safe in them.With this product i feel secure this get's a 5 out of 5.

new 3dsxl is too large to fit inside. bummer as it looks solid, it will be going back.
