New product insignia wall switch but software is maturing and getting better

Haven't been able to get it connected yet. This could be trouble.

This is the second one of these I have purchased. It works. Hard to install due to the depth of the switch housing. Frequently Apple HomeKit will not know the status of the switch. LED light is annoying in a bedroom at night. Also a three second lag with a voice command through Siri.

Who had very good luck with a lot of these insignia products

Returned switch before installing as I no longer needed it

That’s great with Alexa but I wish it had the dimmer option .

Not easy to set up, requires a neutral wire to work.

Have no problem with it. Works like any other brand but cheaper.

Insignia smart in-wall light switch....a disappointment. Before these switches could be installed, Insignia "dropped support of the necessary app" used to control the switches. Because the switches were not installed and "registered,"....recovery compensation was denied by Insignia...a poor business decision. Fortunately, several other Insignia plugs were installed and registered, with recovery compensation received, when the associated app was discontinued, leaving all devices worthless. BB & Insignia? Smart switch deserves a less-than-zero rating.

These switches lose connection every few months and must be reset and setup again. They are crap.. stay away from them and spring for the good ones at Home Depot.

I should have listened to the other bad reviews of this product, instead I decided to try it out. What a nightmare... The product is not easy to install , instructions are not helpful. I bought two of these things and after installing one and it didn't work, I thought maybe that one is defective. So I tried the other one in my bedroom on a different light fixture. SAME THING! The stupid thing blinks the light on and off and the app NEVER found either one of the items. Customer care was useless. Needless to say, these things are garbage, and will be going back to best buy where I hope no one else can get their hands on them.

After reading all the negative reviews I took a risk purchasing this switch. Continuously lost connection. Returned and purchased the TP-Link switch which worked perfectly.

This switch was just what I needed for our dining room. I wanted to be able to switch it off with Apple HomeKit and not be limited in the type of bulbs I used. This fit the bill and performs perfectly,

I have two of these in my home currently. I purchased 3 to start and one I was told to return after installation due to the app not communicating with it. Overall they work just fine .

hooked it up properly, connects to the app and Alexa but it doesn’t turn the light on or off. just stays on. hopefully it’s just a faulty product. will be returning, unfortunately.

They do not support this item anymore, and stopped their app. Meaning if you own this product like I do, and installed it - you can not use it as a smart switch, and is useless. They did not even give me a Gift card like their app said they would, and dealing with Insignia and their call centers will leave you utterly frustrated. Can not believe a company like Best Buy could do something like this.

Needed a way to turn on backyard light from upstairs. Paired this to my Insignia speaker with Google Home and now can do task easily, even remotely on my smart phone.
