I bought two smart switches with the purpose to control them through Alexa. I read many reviews and many customers were not satisfied, but still decided to try them out. The switch was difficult to pair with app; once paired it works well through the app and Apple Home but I could not pair the device with Alexa. If you don’t care about using this smart switch through Alexa it works well. I will return it and get a more reliable one.

Setup was easy, but appears your wireless nextwork SSID needs to be broadcasted. I don't broadcast the SSID as an additional security measure.

I love making my home smarter with items like this. So, I have a few insignia outlets plugs and I’m very happy with those. Mostly because I can sunc them to Apples home kit or Amazons Alexa, I use Alexa frequently. The only downside is that the insignia app forgets items you’ve previous synced. Usually when you loss power. I used this one for my garage carriage lights. The app lets you schedule when the switch will power on and off. Love it.

Easy setup, worked a described. Great price compared to other brands that do the exact same thing

Works as advertised and does NOT require a hub or bridge. You do need to carefully follow the setup directions. Good product for a great price.

This plug works very well. I have it hooked up in my garage so I can use Alexa to turn off my garage light after I enter the house.

I bought three of these switches to help complement my Siri-based set up in my home. They are very easy to install as long as you know basic wiring. They seem to work well once they are working.... but the set up process using the CONNECT app is not as easy as iHome or Wemo devices. Instead of connecting the device to a local network to join your WAN, you must use this free app. It adds an extra layer but maybe it is needed for Alexa or Google integration, I only used Homekit. I do recommend these as the price was very good.

Great switch, easy to use and easy to install, have a few of them around the house.

Smart Light Switch was easy to setup, you will be required to wire this electrical switch, instructions are great for beginner DIY.

Have experienced a lot of outage with the Insignia app rendering the controls useless. When it works, its good.

Once you understand how to keep the kids away from turning of the power this is a good unit. 2 of them in the house.

Love the convenience of having Alexa built into my bathroom wall, but there are a couple of caveats. First, if you use it to play streaming audio it seems to have difficulty hearing when you call it’s name - maybe because the microphones are so close to the speaker?? Also, given the speaker size it shouldn’t be surprising that it isn’t very loud, and the audio quality isn’t great. But its a really convenient thing - and impresses the heck out of visitors.

I got it on sale.took about fifteen minutes to installed and it works flawless

Setting up the switch was little difficult, i bought two of these and was trying to setup both the switch together using the android app and after successfully registering one it kept on failing for the other one. Then i tried it on an iOS phone using Apple Home Kit and it worked. Once setup everything seems to be working. Price can be little cheaper. It says they have IFTTT integration but it doesn't so stop claiming it on the Product Page Best Buy.

If you can use a screwdriver and wire nuts, you can install this switch. (Turn the breaker off first) Just 4 wires and easily connects to your Wifi. You can use Google Assistant with this switch. Set up schedules for the lights to come on and off during the week or control it by voice ( using Google Assistant) It even has a small LED to use as a nightlight.

If you are like me, you use light switches all the time. But here's the thing, most of the light switches in my house are not near the door. I don't care anymore. Now I just tell one of my friendly virtual assistants to turn off the lights before I leave the house. Or I use the Insignia Connect app for on/off functionality. Installation directions are easy to follow.

The app it uses is extremely unreliable. But the device does its job. If you aren’t tech savvy or handy, stay away from this item. I installed 30 of them in my house and some required several attempts and different ways of installing them before getting them to work. If you can’t pick it up on your WiFi network, try removing the power completely from it for a few minutes and then try to reset it. That’s one of the issues I remember.

This switch works as well as one that costs four times the price. Works with Siri, Alexa and Google.

Buggy app but works thru HomeKit. I’m going to delete the app and use it strictly thru HomeKit.

Easy install and works great! I’ve purchased many of these to make my home a smart one.
