Many appreciate its scheduling feature and its ability to pick up dirt effectively. However, some customers point out that the navigation could be improved, and the noise level is sometimes a concern. The small dustbin size and occasional docking issues are also mentioned as drawbacks.

Little helper
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It tebds to get stuck sometimes in an area, but will eventually find it's way out. A big help letting it run through the house with 3 kids, a dog, and a cat.

Last min guests are no longer scary
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We moved from an apartment will all hardwood to one with mainly carpeting, so of course we needed a vacuum cleaner. Roomba is great, especially when you get that random "hey I'm in the area, mind if I stop by?" call. Just push the button and he'll get the floors while you quickly throw everything else in the closet (out of sight out of mind!). =)

Satisfied with the performance.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Roomba as recommended by my nephew and sister-in-law. They were very much satisfied on how it works. I bought this and just let it work with my upstairs carpet. My only regret is I should have bought the one with no need to detangle hair. But overall the product is very good. I am actually recommending this product to other relatives and friends.

Gets the job done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The dock, virtual wall, and straight forward Roomba controls make it a breeze to set up. It seemed to pick up plenty of dirt and fuzz as well, with the bin full after nearly every run. I does seem to run into stuff a lot, but doesn't seem to damage the furniture, though it does get violent.

Pretty good, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. It is nice being able to just push a button and have the floor clean in an hour or so. The downsides: - Cleaning the Roomba - Long hair is a HUGE pain to clean out of the brush and the axels. No matter how long I spend cleaning after, there's always some left over. There is also hair stuck on the axels on both sides of the brush and rubber piece that I don't think will ever come off. - Damaging itself - The 1st day we used the Roomba, we left it in the living room while it cleaned and came back to the front scratched very badly. The front of our fireplace has a concrete slab with about a 1 inch lip. Apparently the Roomba really wanted to get up there, and kept ramming into this until it finally made it up. So now we have to block this area off, which isn't the end of the world, but kind of a pain. In the end, it is much easier than using a normal vacuum, and our apartment is always vacuumed with how easy it is.

Roomba was my best purchase ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this guy! I have both a dog and cat who shed constantly. Since I started using Roomba no more Pet hair tumble weeds! Our hardwood floors shine. If he gets stuck or has a problem (rarely) he tells you what to do which is a great feature. Really has improved my life.

Great Mother's Day gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife loves the Rumba 650. I almost bought a different model at a warehouse store, but read the reviews and learned that the model sold there did not have the scheduling feature. The 650 can be programmed to run on a schedule. I found it on sale at Best Buy for $10 more. We have a small dog and "sweep" regularly with a Swiffer between vacuuming. The iRumba picked-up a double handful of dog hair that we missed one day after sweeping. It was a wonderful gift thqt got me big bonus points with the wife.

Performs as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It performs as expected. It hasn't fallen from the staircase yet so I know the sensors are working. Comparing performance on carpet/rugs vs hardwood, I think it actually performs better on carpet/rugs. On hardwood, the side brush tends to push the dirt around and it doesn't always get sucked in (perhaps because the floors are slippery?), while on carpet/rugs, the side brush dislodges dirt/debris but it stays put on the cleaning path and the robot gets a chance to suck them in. So I guess the suction power could be stronger for a better cleaning on hardwood floors? All in all, it's a good gadget as long as you have the proper expectations as long as you note the above comments and know that there's some pre-cleaning/prepping if you want efficient cleaning. An uncluttered room will be cleaned by the robot in less time vs a cluttered room, and that means using less energy! Pros: relatively quiet, long battery life, great on carpet/rug and easily navigates various floor types Cons: takes a long time to clean, requires a lot of pre-cleaning/prep work to clear the room for efficient cleaning (could be viewed as a pro), not as effective on hardwood floors.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always thought of these as a gimmick. After 3+ years in our home, we never really settled into a groove on getting the floor vacuumed on a regular basis. As a family, we tried so hard to find a schedule that worked, but the floor just turned into something that depressed us and vacuuming something that we never got around to (at least not consistently). We bought this about a month ago. It took about a week for it to caught up on cleaning. I always wondered how good a job these could do and let's be honest: it is roughly equivalent to a mediocre to low-end vacuum. But, it's a mediocre vacuum that runs EVERY DAY like clockwork. It is about as noisy as a Dustbuster, which won't wake us. Every morning at 04:00 it gets up and goes through the house. Every morning when I wake, I empty the bin and tap out the filter to clean it. Every week or three, we set it loose in the home office or a bedroom. But, every day my house is clean. Once the price paid becomes a memory, you will decide you cannot live without this. Some cautions: * It gets stuck now and again. Every few mornings I find it wedged under the dishwasher door. Has it just started the cleaning cycle or was it near the end? I don't know, so I restart it. Sometimes it gets lodged under a chair in the living room; I don't know why. * Clean the bin and filter every cycle. Mine is picking up a lot of dust that clogs the filter. I suspect it is getting Oxiclean out of the carpet that we use to shampoo the carpet. I am getting better about rinsing that out of the carpet, but a clogged filter renders the machine useless. * I clean the rollers every week. At first, it picked up some longer hair wrapped around the brushes, but after a few weeks, the rollers are not too bad. * Keep stuff off the floor. Now and again, someone will leave out a USB charger. When I wake, I will notice the Roomba is missing from its base, so I wander the house until I find it, either stuck (see above), or in an error state with a USB cable wrapped in the brushes and the charger dangling behind the Roomba. Keep stuff off the floor. * I have read stories about these not lasting much longer than a year, so I bought the longest warranty I could find. You might consider doing the same. Get one now!

My new best friend!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is simply put - awesome! I love having my floors cleaned while I do other things. It works great! My only regret is not buying one of the more expensive models - 980 model. I am sure it's only gotten better!

Just Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did my research and found many users saying that the 650 was perfect for pet hair. I have a Husky and they love to shed, so instead of me, my wife or kids having to sweep and vacuum every other day because of the dog hair, i finally pulled the trigger on this masterpiece. I set it to clean the floors 3x a week, it is so nice having that extra time to do other things then cleaning the downstairs floors because our dog in the house, well worth it and it cleans very well, i can tell the difference when walk bare foot on the wood. Highly recommend if you have pets inside...

Great for getting those dust bunnies...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked this Roomba 650. It was $380 on sale and a reasonable price compared to the new models. Its performance is solid, not amazing, as it runs around your main level and gets most of the dust, lint and dirt removed from low pile area rugs and hardwood floors that encompass my home. It doesn't do stairs, unfortunately, and does not like a brown shaggy rug that I have in one room for some reason (won't run up the small lip). However, with just one button push, it works its way around an entire level of your home. I hit my main level once a week with the push of just one button. It returns home to its charging stand when it is done doing its thing. I liked it enough to keep it around. Small lint/dirt cup fills to the brim every time! Solid product.

Good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well to keep our tile and laminate flooring clean. The unit is pretty loud though, but you can set it to run when you are not home. Besides getting caught on a few rugs, we haven't had many problems running it.

Gets the job done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Rooma 650 Vacuum is worth the price. It is easy to set schedules and just not worry about it. It takes you a good two weeks to finally get the position of the Roomba in the house to where it know how to make it back to it's base. This version is not a multi-room vacuum, if you forget to close a door or use the included virtual wall, you may be hunting the Roomba down for a bit. I suggest looking under the bed, under the couch, or it ate the rug in the bathroom. Be sure to pick up items on the floor that it may eat, you'll be surprised what you will find inside of this little guy. Definitely locate the home base in a central location to the area that it will be cleaning so that it can make it's way back home when it is done to charge.

Great small robot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When buying I was skeptical that such small thing running on batteries can do a decent job, but upon unpacking and extremely easy assembly was surprised how good it actually performed. I have a dog and 2 cats and before I had pet hair all over the place, now even under the furniture it is clean. Also very easy to clean the trash bin in this vac.

Changed my life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really can't describe how much this has helped me. To be able to come home to clean floors and not worry about sweeping constantly is amazing. I have 3 pets, and this roomba handles the hair like a champ. It's more thorough than I expected and seems to get literally everything, even in crooks and crannies I didn't think possible.

Great for pet hair
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picks up dirt and fur that you don't have time to do daily. The unit is small and so is the dirt basket so it's best for between real vacuuming. But it is really great for what it does.

Doesn't pick up everything, but works as it should
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would classify the roomba as more of a sweeper than vacuum, while it can and does vacuum, and get a lot of stuff off of our carpeting/rugs, we have rugs that have high and low areas in the fabric, if something gets in the low areas, there is a good chance it won't get sucked up. It does get it sometimes though. The great thing about it though, is that you can run it quite often, much more than the average person would vacuum their house and sweep. This is the redeeming quality of the roomba. I have pets with white fur, I run this 3 times a week, it goes over hardwood, sweeps up all the tufts of hair and debris. It goes into rooms with carpet and picks up hair, now is it deep cleaning, no.. but if you run this regularly you don't need to deep clean because it isn't going deep into your carpeting. The side brush is great for getting all the edges, it will push debris in front of the roomba so it can pick it up and work well. Sometimes it will flick it across the room also but it has more success than failures. The biggest piece of advice is to be realistic. You are probably still going to vacuum, we do, I like my floors clean. The big thing about it is that my floors always look great. Before they used to have various levels of hair/debris before I had to break out the vacuum and do them all. The roomba does that for me, and does a good job at it until I get to my big vacuum session to get the stuff that it may miss. It can get areas though my vacuum can't. When it went under my bed the first time I laughed as it looked like it was running through the desert with all the dust that was getting kicked up. I felt better knowing that was out of my bedroom area. I would also get hair buildup at the bottom of my kitchen legs, the roomba brush gets that. It also reaches under the fridge a little and fits under the kick of my cabinets nicely. I'm happy with it, it has come up in conversations and I have met other roomba owners and they are happy with it also. Yes, it does require some maintenance, and forethought when you are running it, but it is worth it. After seeing the places it may hangup (which there aren't many places that hang it up) you just prep them and let roomba go!
