Purchased this for my wife only because she wanted it. Its much easier to just plug in the vacuum.

Good for a quick clean up, but not great for deep clean. It seemed to leaved streaks and residue.

I have furniture thats not flat to the ground(including coffee table). The vacuum cleaned well but got caught under the furniture ans coffee table over and over. It would then run out of battery and even dug a hole in the carpet once. I returned it but now need to change or patch my carpet.

Spent more time moving stuff out of its way, than if I had just vacuumed myself. Didn't seem to learn layout of home, kept doing random patterns, missing at least 1/2 of each room before returning to base. Returned for refund.

Ok product that allows you to skip sweeping occasionally.

Had it for about a month after the spinner part broke.

Not smart enough. I don't recommend this version of robot

I am having trouble putting back together after cleaning.

I bought the roomba hoping it was as amazing as I've heard it was. The device is a little high so it couldn't go under my sofa and it just kept bumping into everything and going to the same place multiple times. It did pick up just fine but wasn't very efficient.

Worked fine for 1 month then it would not turn off.

It's a good product when it actually manages to clean the whole house, I have noticed that it constantly misses spots, as in it would go around them but not actually go to them

As you can imagine with 5 cats and a dog we are never short of animal hair in the house. I recently purchased this for my girlfriend, and was skeptical based on previous Roombas that I had owned. I had owned the original first generation of the Roomba, and was not overly pleased with the performance, but that was also 10 years ago. Time to give it another go. I had warned my girlfriend about previous experiences with the original Roomba, and told her this is not going to replace the vacuum. There's too many obstacles and it gets stuck on a regular basis. We purchased this Roomba, took it home let it charge and then set it on its maiden voyage. Only thing we had to lose was cat and dog hair. Everything I had told her about the previous experience with the original Roomba was put to rest when it easily made it around the kitchen table, the kitchen chairs, under the couch and everywhere else that it usually would get stuck. Needless to say we are sold and in love with a Roomba! The only downside is we will no longer be able to make sweaters for the family with all the excess cat and dog hair. Definitely a must have for pet owners!

I already own a Dyson, which I love, but moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend and his dog. Despite brushing her every day, we still had a very small amount of dog hair that I didn't feel like dragging out the vacuum for every day. I got this version because all the reviews said it was just as good as the newer one for much cheaper, but was nervous because my boyfriend said I'd been buying too much cleaning/storage stuff for our new place. Well, within about five minutes of me getting it home, he had ripped open the box, was charging it, and excitedly waiting for it to be ready to run! this thing is AMAZING!!!! SO worth the money, I couldn't believe how much dirt it found that we didn't even know we had. I would recommend this to anyone; it is thorough, very fun to watch, and the hilarity of watching it annoy our dog is alone worth the price. If you have a cat or dog you need this! Also, it was very user-friendly - I am a dummy about instructions, and it is super easy to use and clean. They kind of scare you into saying you have to clean it after every use and make it sound like there are lots of parts to remove, but they make everything yellow-colored that you need to worry about cleaning, and it was super easy.

GET IT!! Hardwood floors, area rugs, tile + pets = Roomba 650 I was cautiously optimistic about this purchase, and just bought it last night. Charged it overnight like recommend, and couldn't wait to start it this morning to see if I'll be returning it or not. It ran for about an hour before returning to its charge dock. I watched it diligently working the whole time. I'm very happy with this little robot. I have hardwood floors with an area rug in my living room. The roomba had no problem making the transition. It picked up dog hair and cat hair without issue. I think as long as the proper expectations are set, this us a great purchase. It's NOT a substitute for proper cleaning, but rather a "set-it & forget-it" way to keep your house nice in-between cleanings. I got mine for $319.99 because I found a coupon on retailmenot that was valid in store. They scanned the Barcode right off my phone.

Gets stuck on our rug doesn't like brown or dark colors always says error. Doesn't even finish the whole house. Costumer service says it's not designed to clean the whole house.

Best purchase I've made in years. Ok it doesn't get the corners well, and will get stuck if someone forgets to tuck in there shoe laces or the drapes sag on the floor. But I've got LYME disease and when my body hurts, I can't vacuum or I hurt for a week. This things has kept me from being embarrassed that the house in not "kept". I have to empty it daily, but that is so minor. Wood floor that has a raised area from tile, then thick wool rugs. It does a super job moving from one to the other. (one is sculptured and it doesn't do as well in the grooves, but if I run it a few times, he gets most of it.) I set it to run daily, and sometimes forget to empty him if I'm out. Then it doesn't do well. So I have to empty and run again. But again MY fault not the machine. The only issues I have are my own... (when I do it I get the cobwebs along the walls and ceiling LOL) They will need to create a wall crawler like the window one. I'm planning on getting that next. I also got the little white one for mopping. Love it too! wonder if they will make a "shampooer" for the rugs!?

This thing is horrible! The bin is tiny, the brushes get bound up with the smallest amount of hair, it's sensors don't seem to work to keep it from running into EVERYTHING, the navigation is nonexistent and "cleaning" patterns are ineffective, and to top it off, it's more expensive than many other more effective models from other manufacturers. Take a lesson from my poor decision, spend the money for a high end model, or save some money and buy another brand.

Picks up floor debris but does not pick up in a consistent pattern and skips over due to furniture in a room. Would be best in an empty room.

I was EXTREMELY hesitant to buy a Roomba. I have always doubted them and really didn't think they would work that well, but I have been impressed so far. This thing gets under everything and cleans hard. It cleans places I would never even get to such as under beds and low tables. Every time I empty the bin it is full of dust and dog hair even after I vacuum. It doesn't climb on carpets at all in my experience so far which is very disappointing, but for the most part I am happy and would recommend. I love sitting it in a room and just leaving it for a while and coming back to a perfectly vacuumed room (just as long as its all carpet or all hardwood, it doesn't seem to go back and forth between the two very well.)

This vacuum just went random and didn't get all the floor. No set pattern. Higher models may do better.
