I've had this Roomba 960 for little over a month now and have concluded that it has been one of the largest wastes of money I have ever spent. While there are a couple nice things about it, the negatives greatly outweigh the positives. The positive: The Roomba does pick up dirt and dog fur (I have a shedding Husky) surprisingly well. I run it daily and am surprised to see it consistently fill up it's bin almost every time. The negatives: 1.) The Roomba consistently get's "lost" and has to be manually placed back on it's base to recharge. I live in a single floor one bedroom apartment and ensure there is ample lighting in every room while it is running. About 50% of the time I find the Roomba just stopped in the middle of the floor, sometimes within a few feet from it's base, saying that it cannot locate it's base to complete a job or recharge. I have been careful with the base placement and followed the instructions closely. 2.) While the battery life works as advertised, The unintelligent and inconsistent path the Roomba takes ensures that it cannot clean my roughly 500 square feet of open floor space without recharging, sometimes twice. What normally takes me about 10 minutes to vacuum myself takes the Roomba over 4 hours including charge time. If it followed an intelligent path as advertised and did not continuously circle back and re-vacuum the same areas multiple times it could probably finish my entire apartment in under 45 minutes. 3.) iRobot claims that the Roomba will learn your house and implement smarter cleaning paths the more times it runs, but I am seeing the exact opposite behavior. The first couple times I ran it it seemed to go OK, finishing the entire apartment in about 2:30 including 1 recharge. However, it seems to be getting dumber the more it runs, taking upwards of 4+ hours to finish as I mentioned earlier. 4.) Saving the worst for last, after about 4 weeks the Roomba has developed a horrendous squeal while running, similar to a loud bird repeatedly chirping away like a maniac. I could probably douse the thing in WD-40 and hope for the best, but should that really be necessary when you pay $500 for a device? Absolutely not. It also brings into question the durability of the unit. If it's already making such noises how long is it really going to last me? Overall, I am thoroughly disappointed with my purchase. A $500 vacuum was a bit of a tough decision for me but I thought if it gave me time back in my week it would be well worth it. Unfortunately the oversight the Roomba requires has turned out to be quite counterproductive and I've found myself spending more time "vacuuming" than ever before.

This vacuum works great for picking up day to day dirt and dust on floors. Has great suction, so picks up tiny debris well. Goes over spots multiple times in higher traffic rooms.

We bought this right after we installed a very expensive hardwood floor. The Roomba has cleaned the new floor flawlessly. Main point, has never damaged a new expensive hard floor.

This model seems to have more power that the 6xx models. Do not like the handle to pick it up as well as the 6xx models. Purchased as a gift for my sister.

I have it now like over a year and I had to replace the sweep attachment but fortunately it has a replacement in the box.

Decent vacuum cleaner. I have 2 years old kid which playing all the time with the robot and is still working which is great.

I love the fact I can schedule it and my house is clean, but we are renting a house with floors that are not very even and it doesn’t do a good job on these floors it gets stuck

The iRobot - Roomba 960 does a good job of cleaning our home and getting under beds and around furniture. The only complaint would be it is a little noisy, but what vacuum isn't.

We have been soo pleased with our I Robot. It has great features and we especially love how it docks itself to recharge to finish a cycle. We have dogs and it makes our wood floors dog hair free.

WE used it weekly to help us to clean up our dining room, living room and kitchen. It works fine and we just have to vacuum some edge and corners by ourselves maybe biweekly or monthly.

This newer Roomba has a longer run time and navigates multiple rooms better than my older 860. Two cats and the house looks great. Now if than can invent one that can climb and vacuum furniture!

So pleased. It was easy to install and set on my phone. Picks up cat hair great on wood floors. So happy I bit the bullet and make the purchase.

I hate sand on my wood floors! This solved the problem and I’m able to program where I want it to vacuum as well as it works with Alexa!

This new were model is very smart it will go around wires and plugs it knows when it’s stock and knows how to get out I’ve been letting it go and it’s a little loud but it cleans very well

Wife loved this! It took a couple of tries to get the layout of our house but once it did it was able to get back to home base. The app is great in getting alerts, checking progress and schedule.

Loved works great picks up alot in-between actually sweeping and vacuuming. I wished I'd gotten a higher level model that mops and dumps debris.

I really enjoy not having to vacuum everyday!! The vacuum does a pretty good job the only down fall is sometimes it gets stuck on the corners of rugs.

Works really well. The only downfall is the dirt bin is really small and if you have pets it fills up pretty fast and will not start schedule run until emptied.
