This product is great for someone who has little time to clean.

My wife loves it. She doesn't have to vacuum anymore.

I have wanted a Roomba for several years now, so my husband got me one for Christmas. And, from the beginning, it has been nothing but trouble. At first, we thought maybe it took a while for it to learn the layout of our home, but after using for 4+ months, that is clearly not the case. We have a mostly all hardwood/tile home with one area rug in our open family room (bedrooms are carpet, but we normally keep the doors closed while vacuum is running- mainly due to not trusting this thing - more to follow). So, basically the Roomba is expected to vacuum the main living area (one big room to include entry way, living room, dining, and kitchen), mud room (which is where its home is), and 2 hallways. Today alone: 1). Got stuck on our living room rug. Had to move and restart. 2). I heard it in the mudroom for a while and went to check on it and it was going in circles with shoe strings completely twisted/entangled in it. 3). Then, somehow a screw caught a hold of our entryway rug and was pulling it out. Luckily, I caught this before it completely destroyed the rug. So, I tightened all the screws on the bottom. 4). And, now it is stuck on living room area rug AGAIN, which is a very COMMON occurrence. Aside from always getting stuck on our area rug, it often gets confused on the rug and will go in circles over the same spot for 10 minutes and then get "stuck" or somehow on a "cliff". Since it is always getting stuck, that means it can often not find its home, which requires me to pickup and carry home. It also means we cannot schedule it to run while we're away, which is a huge inconvenience. It would be nice that after it learned the layout of your home, that you could tell it what your priority is for cleaning. For example, with 2 small kids, under our kitchen table is the priority and it is always the LAST thing it does (and that's IF it ever gets there since it usually gets stuck or has issues before then). For the amount of money we spent on this thing, I regret giving it as long of a chance as we did. I wish we could just return it and get our money back!

Two Huskies and the iRobot Roomba Vacuum are not necessarily a good combination. The Roomba leaves some of the fur on the carpet. Not quite as good as I'd hoped, but will help with the time I spend using an upright vacuum.

This Roomba is our 2nd choice. Our first purchase was a Shark but we went through 2 of them in a short amount of time and both had the same issue. We decided to upgrade to Roomba but it’s way too loud and leaves clumps of dog hair everywhere
