Don't waste your money!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spend all my time making sure it goes where its supposed to go! I could vacuum myself in less time. Extremely disappointed and would return if I could!

Very happy with Roomba 960
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned the iRobot Roomba 960 for about a week and a half so far. For us, I think the 960 is the sweet spot given features, our cleaning environment and price. Let me explain; as a geek, techno guy I would normally want the top of the line, most feature packed device available. With that said, sometimes the best can’t quite do everything I whish it could. We own a two-year-old red merle border collie named Shepherd with long wiry hair that sheds constantly and a medium hair length cat. Vacuuming for the pets before the Roomba, now named R2-D2 was a constant chore that needed to be done way more than I would prefer using our Shark vacuum set especially if people were coming over to the house. The Shark vac does a great job but it took up to two hours, sometimes longer to make everything look hair free. R2 on the other hand does all but most extreme places without my supervision with one exception. I take care of R2 and R2 takes care of the hair and other dirt and dust. So why did I not get one of the top-of-the-line i7 models? Once again it was the type of dog hair Shepherd drops everywhere. Our previous red and white border collie even though he had a much thicker double coat did not hardly shed, Shepherds coat could be used as a biological weapon if it got into the wrong hands. R2 has no trouble at all sweeping it up but the issue is that it accumulates in the sides of the rollers, edge brush and wheels. This is not a problem for me because I was sure going into this robotic relationship that I would have to keep up with this. There is just no way to keep Shepherd’s type of hair from getting wrapped around anything that rolls or moves in a mechanical device. The new i7 and i7+ Roombas would still have this problem so owning the i7+ with its self bin cleaning feature would I am sure get its rollers and wheels stuck long before it completed its 30 bin cycle. This may not be the case for other people with normal or no dog hair in their home but for me it would be a major frustration. I would say that if you can afford the i7+ and do not have a wiry long-haired shedding pet then go for it. As it is, bin dumping along with cleaning removing tangled dog hair is a five-minute job that needs to be done twice during a charge of the Roomba. I use the small Shark vac to clean R2. It takes 3-4 charges to completely clean our single-story house. I do not use the voice operation but I do use the phone app which works very well. WiFi works good and our home is completely mapped out on the app. The none-self-dumping i7 is smarter in that it can do individual rooms by command once it maps your house but cost a minimum of $150 more and has a smaller bin that would need dumping more often. We got our 960 on sale for $450 and then bought the 4 year extra insurance package because we were not sure how it would hold up to the hair issue long term. Over all I am really pleased with the Roomba 960. It cleans exceptionally well and frees me to do other things except for its maintenance routine while it is working. It is amazing how much stuff it picks up even after cleaning with the Shark system. I would highly recommend the Roomba 960 to anyone with reasonable expectations.

Needs improvement
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is more gimmicky than functional. It struggles to learn the floor plan of my house and constantly needs maintenance. I’ll give you a good deal on mine.

Not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roomba did not clean my place efficiently. It repeated the same areas, and missed some areas. For the price, I expect it to do a much better job.

Really bad product. Broke in 3 months
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Rumba to vacuum cat hair. It did a great job for about 3 months, then the little brush on the side quit working. After another month it quit picking up the small crumbs. I cleaned it out and check everything as best I could, but nothing seemed to get the brush or the pickup to improve. I called BestBuy to exchange or return, and they said I needed to deal directly with manufacturer. I would not buy this product again.

Just a year passed and iRobot is giving problem
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I called to see my options to exchange or return but Best Buy don’t do that. I called iRobot they said to call Best Buy. It’s a run around and for such an expensive vacuum..... iRobot should backup their product and replace but bad customer service from Best Buy and iRobot and their product gave up after a year even it was used moderately . Money down the drain, rip off...

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was a waste of money, was looking for something that was programmable or that would remember where it had already cleaned but it just seems to go until it bumps into something and then it will turn and go another way but forgets it had already cleaned an area

Horrible
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this after my Neato gave up the ghost after 5 years of great service. Worst decision I ever made. Constant problems until it finally crashed. Never cleaned the entire house. Thank you geek squad. They replaced this product with like kind and price. Went back to Neato. House is once again being vacuumed on a schedule.
